Stole my gears
I used to love Hipstamatic so much I spent money on gears.
After a few years break on Android without that app, I am back to iPhone. And despite of owning the gear, they now force me to go on subscription to access to them. What an inconsiderate move towards their pioneer users.
It is a pity such great app betrays you, just because they can. : /
Wonder if you will do something about i, but my hope is near zero as I saw another user say the same thing.
4 stars because your app is great and deserves support for all your good work.
But my mood wants to rate 1 star at the moment.

I’m done with Hipstamatic
I have been using Hipstamatic for years. When I changed to my most recent phone I somehow lost a lot of my film and lenses I have purchased over the years. Basically when I go to download it asks me to pay… again. I have contacted them multiple times about this. I have done what they asked and nothing happened. I am tired of trying to get their attention so it is time I move on. But it sucks because I really loved using it. If I could give zero stars I would. Highly disappointed in you and your lack of proper help.
UPDATE: someone got back to me but not the help I wanted. I don’t want to go to the new version. I want all my gear I PURCHASED to be back on the classic version. It’s more user friendly and easier to navigate. No change to the rating.

App crashing
I just downloaded the app and it’s not getting past the intro video. It keeps resetting to the beginning and the app functions are not available.
I love it but…
I love the different types of cameras I took some pictures but I can’t use much because I have to pay for like all of them but good app
Viewfinder
I have had this app for quite some time, but for whatever reason recently, I’m not able to change the viewfinder. I don’t wanna see the old analog look. I wanna be able to use my full screen. How do I change that?

Wow another subscription take over
Used to love this app for being able to use it when I want and have used it since it was launched. So now it all ends with everything hidden behind a subscription paywall.
Doesn’t focus
Won’t sync with new phones. I have tried over and over to het the Hipstamatic classic app to work with a newer iPhone and it will not focus or ender light metering correctly. After researching this and trying support for an answer I asked on AI. It says that Apple drastically changed its camera and focal length in the iPhone 13 and in order to get sharp images with closeups you need an iPhone12. I will buy one to try. Anyone else have the same focus issues and if so how did u solve it?

Nonfunction
This is been for years, one of my favorite camera app, but for some reason a couple of months ago it’s not working and you cannot see across this camera. You only see black or dark and it’s not taking many pictures.
Lost its way
Tried Hipstamatic again after a long hiatus. Of course, it’s now a subscription App, which is unfortunate. Especially after previously spending money on packs and add-ons. NOW I also have to subscribe? No thanks. App also used to be much simpler, more about creativity. Now it’s much more bloated and confusing & feels like it’s trying to be its own social media platform rather than the creative photography App it started life as. Very disappointing.

Sudden full of glitches
I’ve used this app since it came out but suddenly it’s having awful glitches and won’t let me download any of my purchased paks.
PLEASE FIX!!!
I love this app and just resubscribed but it’s not allowing me to change my profile photo. It keeps crashing over and over again. Please fix this. I’ll change my rating to 5 stars once fixed. Thank you!! ❤️🙏
What in the dumpster fire
Happened to this app? This update is TRASH. The camera bag is absolutely useless, you can’t find anything without having to scroll a ridiculous amount, and even then you’re lucky if you find what you’re looking for.
I’ve been using this app since the original, and these are some of the worst updates. These aren’t improvements.

FORCED TO SUBSCRIBE
I had the previous Hipstamatic, Classic account before they went to subscription based service. When they went to subscription based service, I lost all my purchases, all the money invest invested into all the film, flashes, packs, all gone. Contacted and reached out to Hipstamatic by email 300 times, did not hear one response back. Subscription based is the future, picking your pocket monthly. I’m not hating on it, you just gotta flow with what it is.

So sick of apps going subscription only! I’ll stick with the original Hipstamatic app.
