Worst app ever

Can’t even get a basic function

Marginally useful

I use this app with a Wi-Fi-enabled dehumidifier. The app is marginally useful. I can turn the device on and off, adjust the fan speed, adjust the target humidity level, etc. But those are things that I generally do when I set it up and then leave it. What would be helpful – and other reviewers have been asking for this for many years – is a notification when the tank is full. With that capability, the app would be truly useful.

Easy!

I expected connecting my Honeywell AC to WIFI would be a major hassle. It took 90 seconds and works flawlessly. Thank you! Shane in Ottawa

Not great

I replaced a LG dehumidifier that died a premature death with a Honeywell. The app does not inform me when the tank is full. I have all the correct settings in the app and on the iPhone but no notifications occur. Other features on the LG are not available on Honeywell dehumidifiers as well. I’ll buy a different brand next time.

App will not connect and is not secure.

This app like many other apps asks for way too much network information and access and then will not connect to the device. In my case a dehumidifier. The app is garbage and is not secure and should be avoided.

Dehumidifier Running?

The UI for the status of the dehumidifier has a lot of wasted space. Should be able to integrate a simple slider for the fan speed. A simple button to toggle off/on comfort mode. Taking an action on clicking the bottom menu feels clunky. Really the only icon at the bottom should be calendar.

One of the key items that is missing is whether or not the unit is running. Sure I can tell it has power but be beneficial to see when running.

Something else missing is rules. I’d like to define a rule for my normal operating range. Then when outside that range it would detect, notify me, and run the rule (ie change fan speed to level 2). And I could create another one for extreme case and it ups to max fan speed.

Overall happy to have a smart product but feel the usability of the app is lacking.

Lost log in ability with “update”

This app for my portable air conditioner worked fine last summer. Unfortunately I did the update. Which wiped out the log ins. I tried logging in manually, and am unsure what the super secret password is. Used my thumb print. And more now. So I must wait for an email to come to my iPhone, which means a manual refresh there, write down a 6 digit code, and get back to this app all in 60 seconds. Totally stupid set up. It’s a freaking air conditioning unit, plugged in only when I’m at the beach house. Anyway the app no longer works. Great job your wet nosed new hires are doing to prove how complicated they can make something. This is NOT a brokerage account. It’s an occasional plugged in air conditioner. DO NOT bother with this app. Now I must Get up out of bed at 4am in the dark to adjust the thermostat. Nice job junior, go back to your computer games in momma’s basement.

Garbage

Utterly useless, unable to move past the account registration stage. Looks like the iOS keyboard obscures the button to proceed and the page won’t scroll.

First De-Humidifiers

This is my first De-Humidifier that I can remotely use and keep an eye on levels of humidity. One thing I do not see is the ability to see when the unit is running or not? Other than this feature seems to be functioning properly.

Good, but needs timer editing

Easily setup and nice to have remote on/off and timer functionality. App should have timer delete options to remove, rather than just on:off toggle.

Would also be nice to have time of day programming (1-hour before sunset, etc) in addition to hardwired times to be flexible as seasons change.

Status of humidifier running

Hi,
I do like the features of the app showing current humidity and being able to adjust and turn on and off.
What I do not see and would help the user knowing when the humidifier is running or in standby mode. As of now there is no indication in the app whether it be wording or even a color change within the app so you can tell when it is on if it is running or the fan is in standby mode waiting for temp change.
Thank you for your help,
Bryan

Delete for timers?

Basic remote functionality (on/off, fan speed, timer setup) but not seeing any way to delete/remove timers as requirements change. Yes, they can be toggled “off” but leaves a long list of clutter, where deleting would be cleaner.

Never connected

List of requirements to connect is very 7years ago. Must have a 2.4g WiFi. Haven’t had one if those in 10 years. You can connect via Bluetooth but only in android. I’m one of those rare iPhone users. This is pathetic.

Notifications?

Basic remote functionality (on/off, fan speed, timer setup) but I don’t see push notifications? With Wifi, I’d expect push notification when system powers off, need to empty water, etc.

Is It On?

App is workable to remotely tweak humility levels and receive notifications on bucket full and filter cleaning reminders. I was surprised the developer left out real time notification if the dehumidifier is running or off. To me that’s an important knowledge point. If I’m missing something obvious, please let me know. Otherwise it’s a 5 star stand alone monitoring and control app for the dehumidifier.

Does this work???

Has anyone got this to work? I comply with all the requirements & have even removed the p/w but can’t connect. This is disgraceful as app control is highly advertised as a feature on the a/c unit. No response to emails to support. Disgraceful..

Absolute garbage

This create smart feature is the most unintuitive trash I’ve ever come across.
Oh and where all all the supposed 5 star reviews when all I see is complaints.

Terrible app

Will return unit. App is terrible and does not connect. Don’t waste time - just go buy another brand humidifier.

Never could get the app to connect

Not much more to say then what I put in the title. A little sketchy that the developer appears to be some Chinese company.

Not directly related to the app, but the product registration website doesn’t work on iPhones.

It's good but I'd like remote access

I wonder if it can be setup to control the humidifier from a remote location outside the home? That would be very useful.
