Really…
Love the idea of universal linking and what it can provide. This is way to us expensive for so little functionality. On top of that licensing on the main app is clunky and universal apps often fail, going to have to pass on this one after giving it a try…
A lot of money for a little functionality
I’ve used the Hookmark desktop app for years. It’s great. You should get it. But let’s be honest: even that app is a little spendy for what it is and does. But I’ve gotten enough worth out of it that I’ll fork over the cash anyway.
Not for this.
The phone app just isn’t good. Sync isn’t reliable and it only ever seems to work for opening web URLs, and even then, only sometimes. I’ve never successfully gotten it to open an email or an Apple Notes note, or a file, or anything else but a web URL.
Speaking frankly, this should be a “free for desktop app users” kind of add-on thing. It’s not worth $30 a year, certainly not it it’s current state, and probably not ever given how inherently limited it is compared to its Mac big sibling.
Buy the desktop app. Skip this one.

Don’t. Just don’t
Doesn’t work as expected. I have documents with Hookmark (which is great, by the way) but this was a waste of money on my iPhone. Just get error messages ecen though I’m running all the latest versions of software. Sure would like my $5 back.
Feels like an Alpha build
This app feels way too rushed. The ability to sort link by title and address does not work. The share sheet extension does not work. The interface is cumbersome and is painful to use. I had high hopes for this because I love what this developer has done with the desktop version, but this is not it. I won’t ask for a refund but I am sincerely regretting purchasing the year-long subscription off of faith in the developer. This app should be taken down until the developer fixes these critical flaws.

App Doesn’t Work - Refund Denied
I tried Hookmark Pal because I already use Hookmark on macOS (which is great). Unfortunately, the iOS version has been a disaster. The 7-day free trial never activated, and I was charged £29.99 straight away.
The app itself doesn’t detect an active subscription, and the “Restore Purchases” button does nothing. After multiple attempts, it still won’t work.
I requested a refund through Apple, but it was denied without explanation. The developer told me only Apple can issue refunds, so I’m left paying for an app that doesn’t work.
This has been a complete waste of time and money. Until the developer and Apple resolve these issues, I strongly recommend avoiding this app.

Share extension doesn’t work
Useful as a free (read only) app. I shall cancel the sub if I can’t create hooks
What I tried to do
- select app in Files (or FileBrowser Pro)
- shared to Hookmark via share extension
* no link created
Link to same file created via Mac
Nb does work with Agenda

Needs work
Interface is unintuitive. App is buggy and functionality is limited. Needs a lot more work unfortunately.
