Horizon is a wonderful credit union to be apart of. The app is super user friendly and easy to use. The customer service is wonderful and that's why I've used them for 10+ years!
1990’s Technology
The HZCU app is absolutely awful. It’s like they went back to the 1990’s and chose the cheapest option for the platform.
Fund transfer not “scheduled”
“Schedule “ a fund transfer does not ask for the date you wish to for funds to transfer, it just does the transaction immediately.
Unable to make payments
It should not be this hard to set up payments. I had to create 3 different logins and talked to two separate people on how to access the “app” and then had to use a different portal to set up the payments. I was told I can’t make payments through the app it’s self and that setting up automatic payments and then making additional payments ontop makes it glitch. That rather I need to set up my additional payments on the automatic payments. Let alone that I will have to go find this separate domain to be able to do it! This is the worst online banking service I’ve ever had and I regret using this bank for a loan.

New Update
This new update is ridiculous. Do you guys even run this by members when testing it! I highly doubt it. Nothing wrong with the previous design.
Update: downgraded quality
Latest update is going backwards in capability. The one useful compact view once you log in is now filled with giant text and so much white space you have to scroll to see all of your accounts.

Widget hasn’t been updated for iOS 18
There was a banking widget for iOS 15 that allowed you to put a widget showing your account balances on your phones screen, no need to open app and log in, with the new iOS the widget no longer exists. It just needs to be updated
Behind the times
HZCU app and the organization itself has always been behind the times and depending on location, poor service.

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!! Do not waste your time doing business with Horizon credit union. Washington trust bank is a million times better. This place is a joke!!
Very Slow Updates on Account Balances
Of all the financial service apps I use, this one has the slowest update on transactions (aside from debit). It can sometimes take days for my checking account to balance on the app. I will watch it and this long time delay even happens on weekday and not just weekends.

Not user friendly and pretty complicated and have to take lots of extra steps for something that shouldn’t be that difficult.
Simply the best!
I would like to say how friendly and great the staff are at your Washington Street location. They recognize me and we have great conversations.

Horizon Credit Union is terrible!!
This is by far one of the worst banks I have ever used!! I have been a loyal customer for 8 years now and I am closing all of my accounts with them. I have always received absolutely horrendous customer service from here. There are so much better credit unions out there. Horizon Credit Union is the worst!

Recent update -5/18/23
So I’ve been using this app for probably about 5 years now and I’ve loved it for its simple intuitive interface
The recent update has changed that
Where once it was easy to see your accounts and make transfers, manage them and pay them off now that setting is hidden in a sub-menu and the opening page is filled with reviewing their policy with no way to dismiss or readdress
Until they have updated it again I would strongly recommend avoiding this app

Closed account without notice- WORST BANK
Worst bank ever. Paid for payment protection for years in case of emergency’s and had back surgery they closed my visa account and never contacted me. I’ve had this bank for years and I’ve never been treated so poorly. Even the lady emailing me never mentioned who to call and they’re still billing me for the protection payment insurance even after they closed my visa worst bank ever.! User friendly! Love my horizon and the staff ladies at the Spokane valley location know me by name and are always so professional and kind. I would work there lol

Great banking app
I can do most anything I need from the app. Very convenient and login is very fast.
Criminals
This company is a bunch of thieves. They might as well show up with a gun and steal your money. They’re shaking me down for 1700 bux for a month laps in insurance. I’d you see the m as the finance bank on anything walk away
