Sure would like to know if the 3 month old update (it’s 07/2022 today) kills off the ability to play in background when a different audio program is also playing.
I’d hate to loose that ability that l have with the older version. As it is now l can listen to a police broadscast using a different scanner app but also simultaneously listen to fire on this one, which makes this app so very, very cool.
Someone chime in if the update would ruin my dual app listening pleasure.

Love that it will play in background even if another radio app is playing. Notification of incidents where multiple units, avoiding low level responses, dispatch is nice. Incident listing both EMS and fire calls get sorted by nearest to your current location. It be nice if you could selectively sort by Fire or EMS calls no matter the distance sorted by most recent dispatch on top but this still rocks without sortability. The MAP view is tiny tiny tiny and doesn't route out driving times or directions. I’d pay for the app if it charted a path via a standard map app. This review 20 Feb 18 updates and replaces a 2 star review I left years ago

The notifications were originally done manually, thus the delay. But they have been automated for the last several updates. Have you tried them? Let us know what you think by writing a new review or contacting us at lancaster_decisions@verizon.net

Great App, But Ambulance Keeps Beeping & Can’t Hear Police Talking. If I Wanted An Ambulance I Would Find An App. Get Rid Of Ambulance Beeping, The App Would Be Super Great!

Just downloaded v1.4 - does not work
I have an iPhone 5S running iOS 7.02. The app will run only when on WIFI. If you have use cellular data turned on and WIFI turned off, the app shows a gray rectangle in the middle of the screen and is stuck on "Loading".
Guess that is no worse than the app before the update because it did not work then either.

you cant understand what is being said and it often start the audio of a transmission late and ends it early. etreamely choppy. I compared it to the online steam of HFDs digital distpatch band and found that the audio laggs behind by around 10-15 seconds and you often miss whole transmissions all together.

The app is good but u can't turn off the moving add that is so distracting I want to uninstall the whole thing!!
Seems to have stopped working
It hasn't listed an incident in over two weeks. Says "There are no incidents to report." Right now its 12:46 pm on a Friday night in Houston. No incidents? Really?

Recently we wanted to know more about Houston wildfires. The press was not updating fast enough so I was curious and searched for Houston police scanners. Awesome! We heard radio reports straight from Fire depts and were able to relay info to friends. Great job!!!

This is the perfect app for knowing what going on in the greater Houston area from accidents to fires. Great job on the design. Only thing I could recommend is having a little more detail for each incident as the information is revealed by the responders. Better buy Why it's still free.
