Taken over by Veezu, charged double the usual fare
Our school journey has always been £8.90 with Hull Cars. First trip with Veezu taking over and it was £17. Never again
Hull Cars are a good firm, decided to try the app
Had some issue re pets. I don't mind paying extra. But some drivers lack awareness with pets even if i call the firm to tell them. Then some get annoyed with me because of the cat, which I understand some pet owners are not more careful, but my cat sits on towels, in her carrier on my knee. The app doesn't even let us tell the driver we have a cat or dog which would be a useful feature. I have social anxiety so i prefer not to take a bus. So I've had a few frustrating encounters with drivers. Please add the option to add pets to the journey.

No Apple Pay/Card Payment option
Pretty much useless as I don’t carry cash. Is there another way to pay on card when in the taxi instead of cash?

The drivers are usually great. Ours was very quick today and friendly.
Hope the app works. I’d rather just pay the driver than use the app since I’ve seen concerns elsewhere about paying for taxis via app, so I’m not sure at the moment. It’d be nice to track cars like with Drive.
I did have the validation token error when I registered first time, but it turns out you need a text with a code before you can register. On my second attempt I got the code. I think this is something that needs fixing so that you get the code as you register or it’s going to frustrate people.
Let’s see how this goes. :)

Option to pre book has disappeared
New version of the app looks great, but there’s no longer an option to pre book so we’ve had to use another app. Please fix it!

Hull cars was my favourite taxi firm in the city and the previous app worked really well.
Ever since the new app update it’s slow, janky, frustrating to even select your destinations (the train station isn’t a selectable option, and my partner’s house isn’t even on the map, so have to select a pickup point a short walk away!).
But worst of all is not even providing an option to prebook for a certain time or day. I travel by train a lot and not being able to book a taxi at the actual train station for a set time is a deal breaker.
Simply no choice but to change firm.

I’ve been using this app and it was working fine. Since the updates I’m not able to login and when I ask to send links to my email. I never receive it! Trying to re-register not letting me! I asked the company they have no idea!! Maybe the app developer can help! Thanks

Try booking a car on the app it won’t let you change the time you want it for it just says request now when I don’t want it for now it might be a glitch uses this app a lot of very good it was working the other day but not today
Completely Useless App
This app does not work, not even able to register due to a ‘token validation’ error. Removed and reinstalled and no change, this was on an iPhone. This company is either no longer trading or are complete fools when it comes to app design. It should be removed from the Apple store. Find another taxi company and save your time.

No data transfer with latest app update?
The previous version wasn’t the best but at least I could log in and make a booking. The latest update seems to have abandoned all existing user data and I had to register a new account… They also got rid of Apple Pay support? This app update is so botched and backwards… Agree with other users that we desperately need Uber in Hull!
