Beyond rubbish - use GVB instead
Rubbish app. Bought the card and it refused to add to the app or the website, even after uninstalling and reinstalling 4+ times (which was their recommended fix for this apparently very common problem). Only solution to get it working was to physically walk 3 miles to their help desk to get a physical card. Ridiculous app given the amount of money pumped into this transport network. Avoid and use GVB - that works effortlessly and painlessly!

Can’t open app
It reaches point about location and it gives an error about failing to change setting. The app will not go forward or back. I have forced closed and uninstalled/reinstalled with the same result. I checked the settings and the location permissions did change, but because the app doesn’t see that, it won’t open

Everything we needed
Idk why this app ahas such terrible reviews, it worked perfectly for us! Didn’t have to faff with a physical card, and were able to just activate when ready! Super easy to use both at attractions and on public transit.
I am Amsterdam Card
This made our trip to Amsterdam so much easier, especially when you know you can jump on and off the metro with the cost already covered. I’m pretty sure we used it on the trams too! The card gives you free access or discounted access to many attractions! The list of attractions on the app helped us plan our days in this beautiful city! Would highly recommend!
