App wouldn’t work
I shopped multiple times at a store that I could only use a linked account for. The receipt never loaded and I never got money back. I tried deleting my account thinking it was a glitch and now I can’t use the app at all. Waist of time

Can’t shop Ibotta offers on Walmart online anymore. Missing lots of offers now. Was my main use in Ibotta. Otherwise I’ve always loved it.
STILL Can’t add offers
Even after the new update, I can only add like five offers before the next ones say “something went wrong try again later”. I’ve now lost out on two large receipts because I can’t add offers and now they are past their time to be uploaded. Also, it’s showing offers that I’ve already added previously are now not added. I have to redo them. So frustrating. I now need to go through the entire store hub to re-add everything all over again but can’t because the app won’t let me add things. Ever since the “arcade” came into the app things have been buggy. Leave it to Tapjoy to ruin yet another app.

Used for years
Easy to use, trusted for years, I just buy what I would anyways for nicer brands but then can get them when they’re not on sale at store!

If you are sent a link to sign up, it doesn’t work. You have to make sure you put in a certain code and if you don’t put it in right away, you can’t put it in later which means you don’t get it at all.

Same issues different day
I won’t be tricked into shopping where this app never seems to have problems, but I’ll come leave a fresh one-star review every time I have to go through their “help” process. Just like the last time and the times before that, the AI “assistant” was useless and a waste of time. It’s ridiculous how much you have to go through and how long it takes to fix issues with purchases made at smaller and local retailers. (By smaller I mean anywhere that’s not a billionaire owned major corporation.) If they can complete submissions for one place in minutes, there’s no reason for it to take days, scans, resubmissions, photos and email chains for the others.

Better than nothing
In the beginning this app was great. Through the years it is not what it once was. Most of the items have to be name brand and those name brands are not carried where I shop. Sometime if they are the cost is outrageous and isn’t worth it. I understand that I’m not going to get rich using this app but it is getting more and more that it isn’t even worth a random .05 to take the time to even open the app.

Reversals & canceled earnings = lost money
Update 9/7/26. I got rid of the app due to the issues below, and then they started charging me a fee due to inactivity. They said it was for 180 inactive days. The second time was less than 180 days. I also don’t think they really look at the reviews since I got no response from them for my first review.
I’ve had this app since around 2020. Up until the last year and a half to two years, I really liked the app. However, in the last year and a half to two years, they have made a huge number of reversals to my online grocery earnings. I’ve never been able to figure out the reasons for the reversals as they seem random and or uncalled for. I was going to recommend this to some friends right before I started getting all the reversals. Once I started getting them, I decided not to expose my friends to these tactics. I am going to look for a different app.

I love getting money back through Ibotta! My only piece of feedback is the receipt scanner. I struggle getting the edges to turn green sometimes.
Fees
$4 maintenance fees basically robbed all the earnings I accrued using this app. AI slop bot chat ruined customer service , so can’t ask anyone about getting it back. Rip to what used to be a good app
I was once loyal
I finally reached 150.00 club and went to withdraw and my account was revoked and everyone I referred was also blocked from their accounts. I reached out and was told they didn’t have to have a reason.

I have things clipped in the dollar general app but never get the money on this app or the Dollar General app so I’m trying to understand if I’m buying these products, how come I’m not receiving any money?
