Must download desktop app to use shared decks

It wasn’t really obvious that not only do you have to download the Anki mobile you also have to download the desktop app to get shared decks. This is a pain and it should’ve been clear that that was required in my opinion.

New users should first spend time playing with the free desktop app, as using this successfully requires buying into a new philosophy on how to memorize material. But for those who are bought into the Anki method, buying this app is a great way to support the developers. Useful for language learning and any kind of memorization of a large number of facts.

Don’t buy it if you have ADHD even if it is a mild one
