No other language option
The app no longer offers other languages. Better off using the WeChat/Alipay mini-app because those at least offer some level of translation.
Misleading marketing
The advertisements for this app are very misleading. They use large fonts to promote "Free Vouchers," making you think you’re getting a free coffee. In reality, it’s only a small discount or a free add-on that requires a full purchase. It feels like a "clickbait" trap just to get people to download the app. Very disappointed.

Use the mini-app instead
App works fine. You can place orders, it’s fluid, all that.
Update in 2025 removed the option to change languages so it’s stuck in 中文。
There’s no difference between the native app and the WeChat mini-app now, but WeChat actually has a translate function to attempt to help you at least.
Don’t download this app. Just scan the WeChat code or search for the mini-app now. Your international Starbucks account can’t be used here anyway so you probably have it bound to your WeChat or Alipay account. Why let this take up space on your Home Screen?

No refunds
The app will NOT give you a refund! Untrustworthy. Your store didn’t make my drink, I asked for a refund directly they said no refunds because I used the app?!?!? How can a billion dollar company not offer refunds on an app?
No Apple Pay support
I know many Chinese people use AliPay or WeChat Pay. But can we add Apple Pay support into the app? It is really not convenient!!!

Since the latest update 2 days ago the checkout button is unresponsive which means I can’t complete a purchase - effectively rendering the app unusable
