My wish
I wished for my deceased relative to be alive again. The next day, I got a text from an unidentified number. The only thing sent was a video. In the video, it was her. She was alive. But she was groaning… covered in maggots and dirt. Her skin barely clung to her body, and her once lively brown tone turned into a sickening pale shade. Her eyes were clouded and falling out of their sockets, and she had one string of hair clinging to her bald skull. Then another text. “I missed you. Come visit.” I rushed to delete the app, but my phone wouldn’t allow me. All I saw was a countdown.
