IFC Clash Detector

IFC Clash Detector V2.3 adds Distance & Clearance Checking, expanding the app beyond hard clash detection. What’s new: • New Clearance Check workflow for finding objects that are too close together without physically intersecting. • User-defined clearance thresholds with clear measured gap, required clearance and shortfall values. • New Manual Distance mode for selecting two IFC objects and measuring the closest surface-to-surface distance. • Measurement line visualisation in the 3D view, showing the closest points between selected objects. • Set A / Set B filtering to focus checks between specific model groups or IFC entity types. • Clearance presets for repeatable coordination checks. • Results can be sorted and reviewed by smallest clearance. • Clearance findings can now be included in BCF and PDF reports. • Improved handling of broad clearance checks, with clearer warnings when a check is too large and needs narrowing. • Existing hard clash detection, shared-basis coordination, That Open fast loading and snapshot-backed exports are preserved. • Continued iPhone, iPad and native macOS stability improvements. Clearance measurements are based on the IFC geometry available to the coordination renderer and are intended for BIM coordination review.
