IFC Federator is a focused BIM coordination app for importing multiple IFC models, reviewing them together, and exporting one combined IFC file. Built for IFC federation workflows, the app helps you bring discipline models together — architecture, structure, MEP, civils and more — before producing a source-preserving combined IFC export. The app combines compatible same-schema IFC files into one IFC/SPF file, creating one clean HEADER section and one DATA section while safely renumbering STEP labels and preserving the original IFC entity content. For safety, mixed-schema export is blocked. For example, IFC2X3 and IFC4 files should not be silently merged into one file. COORDINATION-FIRST VIEWING Use the federated viewer to check that models load together, review visibility, fit all models, focus selected models, and inspect basic federation state before export. The app helps identify common coordination concerns such as model count, schema compatibility, bounds, large coordinate ranges, and export readiness. AI COORDINATION ASSISTANT The built-in assistant explains the current federation and export state in plain English. It is grounded in app-generated facts and is not a certified validation result. Where Apple Intelligence or Foundation Models support is available, the app is ready to use Apple-provided local capabilities. Where unavailable, the assistant uses deterministic local summaries. No external paid AI API is required. IMPORTANT NOTES IFC Federator does not automatically rewrite model coordinates, regenerate GUIDs, remodel storeys, or repair source IFC geometry. It is designed for source-preserving IFC federation and export. For best results, use clean IFC files exported from your BIM authoring tools with compatible schemas and coordinated project origins.
