Generic GymMaster App Better
Login with the generic GymMaster app for full functionality with Apple Watch integration. Works with same username and password as the dedicated app but allows me to check-in with my Apple Watch instead of phone
HIRE A NEW APP DEVELOPER
My problem started when I deleted and reinstalled the app on the same phone. When I tried to log back in, the app told me I had “reached the maximum number of registered devices”, even though I was still using the exact same device. Apparently the system isn’t smart enough to recognize that it’s the same phone.
Because of that, I was completely locked out of the gym. There’s no way to reset the device limit yourself, and since the facility is unstaffed on the weekends (except for a few hours on Saturday), there was no one available to help me reset the limit until Monday.
Whoever built this app should understand how device identification works. If someone is using the same exact phone, the system should recognize that it’s the same device. Every phone has a unique device ID, so deleting and reinstalling the app shouldn’t count as a new device.
I understand limiting the number of devices to prevent people from sharing accounts and letting others into the gym. That makes sense. But locking someone out when they are clearly using the same phone is just bad design.
This feels like a very basic coding oversight. Something this simple shouldn’t prevent paying members from accessing the gym. For a system that controls entry to the building, the app should be much more reliable than this.
It’s extremely frustrating to be paying about $40 a month and not even be able to access the building because of a simple app issue.
My advice to the owners: stop cutting corners and hire a competent company to build and maintain your app.

Good ish
It’s a good app and I like the idea so people can just lend their cards to other people to scan in, but it’s extremely slow and could use some format updating, it’s a little basic.
My review
Very convenient and keeps track of everything neatly.
Nice!
I love how I don’t need to scan anymore! Just press the button when close by
Go back to physical
This is such an unnecessary obstacle. Couldn’t even login even with help in person.
New app doesn't show member history and progress
I was tracking outside workouts and weight loss progress in the old IFF app in addition to IFF workouts (which are few because they won't build in Kuna despite many people begging for this). The new app didn't carry over old data pertaining to exercise tracking and weight loss progress. Would be awesome if IFF didn't switch apps. Was using the old data to report to my medical practitioner frequency of exercise. Figured out a way to get the details printed from my Apple Activity App. Why give members a tracking tool then remove access to their history of workouts in the app?

Inconvenient
What an annoying inconvenience.
Forced apps
So I had to download one app just to sign up and now I have to download another separate app to actually get into the building? I’m not downloading more apps just so you can sell my data. Just let me workout
Account
Even with an active membership and sending a reset password email to myself doesn’t allow me to login since it classifies every password as “to weak”… I even used the random passwords Google provides and it says to weak… this login is terrible.. at least at time of this post..
Forced to use mobile
Many times I prefer not to carry any electronic device to the gym. However, the current check-in method requires me to bring my mobile phone, which feels like unnecessary obstacle.
I personally found older method of using physical card more convenient.
Ideally, both options could coexist so members can choose whichever method works best for them.
