Nightmare
The last update broke the integration with the home app. What's the point of these updates if they break things instead of fixing them?

Works well when it works. Every few months, for no reason, it requires me to reset the whole system. Pain in my… I’m deleting it and just using the hockey puck.
DO NOT BUY IKEA SMART PRODUCTS!!!!
They are garbage quality and an immense amount of work to get setup and configured. The app is garbage too. I can no longer control any of my smart blinds through the app and the automations have stopped working. Yet, I'm still able to control the blinds with the remotes. Makes no sense. Anyway, total garbage, do not buy, and good luck getting support.

Broken!
Updated app is broken. Hub disappeared and was recognised as a new hub. After scanning QR code hub working but the only options available to me are add devices!

Bug with blinds
I control 3 blinds with the app.
There is a bug. If you slide a single blind to say 50% it also changes the position of the other blinds by a small amount. There is obviously an issue mapping the location of the button sliders in the app.

Terrible half the time functions don’t work
Can’t use some of the functions because it states my hub needs an update I go into updates section and everything is up to date? Bulbs don’t pair, clicking on/off buttons to turn off the bulbs don’t work half of the time, changing colour temperature doesn’t work half of the time, I have good WiFi there’s no reason for these functions to behave like that. Will be switching to a philips hub as I had a better experience there with my Ikea bulbs.

Timer stopped closing the blinds but opens them fine. Checked settings and all good.

Stopped working
I’ve used the home smart app with my tradfri gateway to control lights for years and it suddenly stopped working. By it, I mean the app. The app just won’t open. I click it, the screen of my iPhone flickers and nothing happens. App is up to date. Very frustrating because now I can’t control any of my devices. Haven’t been able to find anything online to solve this issue. Shame because I was a big fan up until now.

Gets the job done, stable with HomeKit
Kudos to IKEA for continuing to maintain this app and the Tradfri gateway. My setup is quite reliable with Apple HomeKit. It would be nice if the app was a bit more intuitive for grouping and managing devices, but I guess I need to get a Dirigera if I want the latest and greatest.

Absolute Junk
Whoever developed this app should be lead out to pasture. Finicky doesn’t even come close to describing the mind numbing stupidity of having to set up this app.

Ikeas smart suite is overpriced and horribly designed. The app is horrible and the fact the store doesn’t make it clear which smart items work together is ridiculous. You try to buy a light and $120 later you’re still missing some part of the system. I could have bought a cheap light for $10 that had the same features, instead it’s 5 different parts that are each overpriced.
