Constantly Freezes
I’ve used this app for many many years and for the last year, it freezes EACH AND EVERY SINGLE TIME I USE IT!

I downloaded this app and link with my amazon account after one day my a very old amazon acount got hacked and someone buy vacuhers from it because of this app plz don’t use this app

Have loved and used the IMDb for years, but today has given me pause. I’ve never needed an account to view user reviews, it’s not something that should be locked behind one. It gives you like 4 reviews while claiming this when you try to view more:
“Sign in to access all user reviews. This extra step helps keep IMDb’s reviews a space for genuine, human voices.”
I’m not writing one, I’m reading.
Remove the requirement or at least tell the truth and admit you are only doing this for data collecting/selling purposes.
I also want to note that this only started to happen about an hour ago, earlier today it was working as it always did allowing full access to ALL reviews.

Frustrating!
It’s very frustrating to have to add more characters on a review to fulfill IMDb’s stupid requirement to have a minimum of 300 characters.
I give IMDb a ★☆☆☆☆ rating for this wholly unnecessary requirement.

Rating System
I’ve been rating movies on my notes for years and never even thought of using the app to keep track of my ratings, was excited to starts transferring until i realized u can only rate from 1/10 not every .5 why not add decimals? U don’t even have to make it a forced feature at-least gives the option to change it in the settings. It is a huge deal breaker for me and will continue to use my notes instead

too many fake and paid-for reviews
i'm tired of seeing all the obviously fake reviews so I'm leaving imdb. i don't think this platform even cares about the fake reviews. they also cater to popular directors or studio pressure which is obvious in their summaries. this is non longer a useful platform. i'm now exploring letterboxd which seems so much better right now for real reviews.
