Disappointed.

This isn’t what I’d hope it would be, do they get your data removed? Maybe. I’m pretty good at finding personal info online and after using this service for a while I decided to look for my own info. Well, I found it everywhere still. Incogni claims that 400 sites removed my data but I highly doubt that. Not to mention that since using this I have seen a massive increase in spam calls, texts, and emails. I’m pretty sure incogni is actually selling my data off to companies themselves. Personally I wouldn’t recommend this service, maybe if it was $20 a year, but even that would be expensive for what you get.

Hey, we understand the frustration. Just to clarify, Incogni does not sell customer data and our data practices were audited by Deloitte. We only use the minimum information needed to submit removal requests under privacy laws like GDPR and CCPA. Removals aren’t one-and-done, since brokers constantly re-collect info, and spikes in spam are usually tied to unrelated leaks or breaches. Do not purchase as a woman

All women please read this review! This app does not state it explicitly but do not use your “legal name” be sure to use your most commonly used name, email address and phone number. I tried to cancel within 24 hrs of learning that your full legal name is not what is required but your most commonly used name, email address, and phone number. If you were married and changed these 3 things then you will have to wait and pay for 3 months of service and be matched with 70 and 80 year olds in the system because your new legal name is the same.

App doesnt let you first time register

After being charged 3 times I still never received confirmation email to set up a password. After trying for 3 hours i contacted customer support and still nothing. I wouldn’t recommend first time set up on the app. If you plan on still using Incogni try using a computer first but if it’s anything like customer support then best of luck trying to set it up.

Annoyingly bad

I bought this app/service and tried entering my second email. I verified it several times. I did it on my phone and the app still shows it unverified. So I did it again on my laptop. The site said verified. I opened the app and it STILL shows it unverified. You are supposed to be able
To enter up to three email addresses but it really doesn’t let you.

No option for nicknames and maiden names

The application limits you to only your full governmental name at the time and does not allow you to insert nicknames or maiden names, most of the time I go by my nickname and many data brokers and websites. Use my nickname and I was unable to get it removed because Incogni would only work on full name. Also the custom removals is difficult to use as I found many websites that Incogni does not cover that I wanted my information removed from and it is not easy to do it in the app. Not worth the unlimited plan, the basic plan is about the same unless you put in a ton of effort. Also not needed for more than a couple months as the amount of removals exponentially decrease after time.

Paid for what?

I have not seen any decrease in spam calls or emails or texts. I asked support and was told they request your info be removed but that won’t cut down on the spam. Not worth it!! Doesn’t work!!! Don’t waste money here.

Update: just understand if you purchase this service you will see zero slow down of calls and spam. Appreciate maybe getting removed from future lists but don’t expect any reduction in spam. They still call and they still email continuously.

Hey, we understand the frustration. Just to clarify, Incogni’s job is to get your personal data removed from data brokers and keep sending follow-up requests as brokers re-collect data over time. That can reduce spam calls and texts, but it can take time. A sudden rise in spam is also often tied to unrelated data breaches, so it may be worth checking https://haveibeenpwned.com/

A Necessary Service

I have been using Incogni’s services for over a year. I can definitely see that I am receiving less spam and junk regularly. I get fewer spam phone calls, fewer spam messages, and less junk and spam emails, now that Incogni is looking after me. I do receive regular monthly reports on their activity. Their prices are very reasonable considering the additional peace I receive daily. The app is very useful and convenient. I would recommend using the app and consider how they can save You from being hounded by junk dealers.

Do NOT download this app!!!

I kept getting spam calls and to stop the harassment I downloaded Incogni app and put my email address in and now I’m getting emails as well as text messages on top of calls!!

Impressed

This is my first time reviewing an app because I live it so much. I am in high level sales and was receiving 20+ spam calls per day. ChatGPT suggested I try Incogni for my specific use case - I was skeptical at best. The app has now been running for 3 days and yesterday I only received 3 spam calls, so far none today. It was like flipping a switch! Chat said to expect it to take 2 weeks to a month, my experience was instant.

It is getting rid of my information off

I don’t have to do this work myself because it would take so long for me to complete. They can complete a lot faster and follow up too. If your information is out there on the web then you are vulnerable and you need this company to get your information gone.

Can’t log in

Tried several times to log in after paying for a subscription and STILL can’t. This is going on two weeks and I’ve also emailed support with no response. If this doesn’t work to get their attention and my account fixed I will NOT recommend using this app.

The app is easy to use and impossible to get yourself in trouble with. Professional old guy writing. I signed up because a certain phone company had a huge data leak and needed to protect myself in all ways possible. My spam calls have gone to zero. Recommending you to all my friends.

Exceptional service - Long time user

Incogni does all it says it will, giving me peace of mind from spam and threats from hackers and scammers. The regular reports highlight just how many companies had my data, and it’s scary. Incogni provides continuous removal of data because the menace never ends.
