Do better

I was planning to renew my annual subscription, this time, but I’m very disappointed that I didn’t get a reminder email before it just happened. VERY shady behavior from any company, but even worse considering your line of business. Overall, service seems to work OK, but I’ll set my own reminder for the next renewal and probably look at alternatives.

Thank you for the feedback, We are working towards improving the user experience.

Good

Had a massive drop in phone calls and spamming after 2 months of paying for Optery

Response from developer

Thank you so much, Jammy762! We're happy to hear that you've seen such a significant drop in spam calls and unwanted contact. That's exactly what we built Optery to do, and it's incredibly rewarding to see it working for you. We appreciate you taking the time to share your experience.

Ineffective

NO PROGRESS in removing the most widely used sources of personal information in MONTHS even with a paid plan. Most of what’s been removed are sites you’ve never heard of and that I doubt anyone would ever use, while your data sits for MONTHS in “pending” status which means nothing is happening and you realize you’ve wasted your money on Optery and have to do it yourself.

Response from developer

Thank you for your feedback on the app. Optery works on both major and smaller data broker sites since even lesser-known sites can contribute to the spread of personal information across the data broker ecosystem. That said, we understand your expectation to see faster progress on the more visible sites first. Some brokers complete removals quickly, while others can take longer and require repeated follow-ups before removals are finalized or stay down permanently. We’d appreciate the opportunity to review your account and the specific profiles you’re referring to, and we will prioritize your case for further review. Please contact us at support@optery.com and our team will look into this further.

Amazing Service!

The only thing I would change is, I wish it would keep me signed in, or there was an option for it, separate from the web version

Response from developer

Hi johnson2122, thank you for the kind words — we're glad you're enjoying the service! That's great feedback on the stay signed-in option and we'll make sure to pass it along to our product team. We appreciate you taking the time to share it!

This is a not possible

Their entire Service is a Joke- I have been paying for the last 12 months for this service , and the majority of the brokers that I show up on have not been removed- you are better off visiting each website and opting out yourself / even if it takes a Herculean effort . Someone needs to look into this entire industry Including Data Brokers - I recently found out / that this is just level one - there is a second level through services like Lexus Nexus that not even an act of Congress will remove your data from. It is there and they refuse to remove it . (In our case we have a legitimate reason since we fell Victims to Corrupt paid off Police Officers in a dangerous county in the state of Maryland . (At least the FBI is investigating our case)

Response from developer

Thank you for taking the time to share this — and we're truly sorry for the experience you've had. The results you've described are not what we want for any of our customers. Some data brokers do require multiple removal cycles and some are not included in our standard coverage. Please contact us directly at support@optery.com. We'll personally review your account, walk you through exactly where your removals stand and investigate further.
