Today I received a notification for the first time ever. “Your password may have been shared online”
I immediately hoped on IG and changed my professional instagram and my personal private one. While I’m changing the password I clicked “log out all other devices” to avoid a hacker or anything from changing my email on the account. GUESS WHAT NOW IT KEEPS ASKING TO “VERIFY USING A DIFFERENT DEVICE”. The instagram help center does not help at all. I am not even given the option to submit ID to verify credentials. This is so frustrating because I cannot even contact anyone to help. I have lots of memories in this account.

Searching now gives an AI slop summary, without results from relevant reels, or even hashtags. They either want to control everything you see, or are incompetent. Revert this trash update

I have had Instagram since 2016 and possibly even older than that, only now has my account been wrongfully suspended for something that I had done within my scope of practice for my profession in nursing. I gave my cousin sex education because she had asked about how reproductive systems work and yet I was flagged for doing so? Instagram and the whole meta AI thing is harmful to our REAL society and education. Cant even talk about reproductive systems without it being flagged as something harmful when it’s not. What a joke Instagram has become

Thanks to Instagram replacing humans with AI, there is more fraud and more porn Instagram accounts (they always show up as viewing my stories. 😪)
I do enjoy using Instagram with my friends, but it’s quite obvious that Instagram is intending to go more of the visual than written route, which is no fun for those of us who enjoy intellectual exchanges about books, philosophy, art, etc. Most are getting frustrated and finding other social media to connect.

They need less ai more human touch
They keep restricting my account with no accurate info about what to do differently. I have no idea how it works. It’s very frustrating, especially when I’m paying for a blue check.
Which the experience was more customizable
I wish they gave you the option to turn reels off while using the app. Youtube lets you do it. Sometimes I still want to youse social media without short form content.
