Camera roll
I’ve only just started using this camera, but one design decision has completely undermined the experience for me. The inability to save printed images directly to your phone’s Camera Roll feels like a deliberate limitation that encourages users to print to film simply to share or store their photos elsewhere. If that’s the intention, it’s a very cynical approach.
For me, this is a deeply flawed user experience. A modern camera should make it easy to transfer and manage your own images without unnecessary restrictions. Unfortunately, this issue alone is enough for me to return the camera.

Works great for printing from camera roll
Does good job at printing pictures from camera roll. Convenient and lets me know how much battery life and film roll left in my camera

Doesn’t have the same features as the mini link app
If I had known that you weren’t going to add the same features to this app that you had on the mini link, I wouldn’t have bothered getting the Evo at all. Please add the editing features to the app so I can print in collage and whatnot or make it compatible with the mini link app. They are the same thing? I was excited to have the ability to have both the camera and printer feature, now I feel ripped off. Please make the features of the app as good as the mini link.

Intuitif et pratique
Très simple d’utilisation, tous les paramètres qu’il faut pour régler ses impressions mais sans s’y perdre non plus, juste l’essentiel.
Jamais eu aucun soucis de connection à l’appareil photo, tout est nikel ! Et l’instax mini evo est juste génial….

A câmera é sensacional, e ela conectar no aplicativo e imprimir qualquer foto do celular é uma das melhores coisas já inventadas!!!! Imprimi álbuns inteiros assim e tô apaixonada ❤️ o aplicativo é fácil de usar, super intuitivo, sem complicação nenhuma. Consigo editar fotos antes de imprimi-las e consigo enviar pro meu celular as que eu tirei pela máquina e imprimi por ela!

Schlechte App für mäßige Kamera
Über die Kamera kann man ja geteilter Meinung sein, aber über die unnötig eingebauten Einschränkung der App eher nicht. Da ist zum einen die katastrophal schlechte Bluetooth-Anbindung und WIFI braucht mehre Anläufe und geht dann weiter bis zur Göngelung des Nutzers: Die Videos, nun auf dem iPhone lassen sich nicht in andere Apps übertragen oder in der Filmrolle speichern. Dazu muss man eine SD Karte und einen Kartenleser heranziehen. Sonst nur nutzbar in der Fuji Cloud mit Ausdruck - man möchte wohl noch ein paar Instax Filme verkaufen. Überteuerte Kamera und dann noch eine derart schlechte und absichtlich geschlossene Software. Schade Fuji, so verspielt man Vertrauen.

Terrible—No Way to Save Photos to iPhone Photos
The app transfers images from the camera (Mini EVO Cinema) but once resident in the app, they are captive in the app. There is no way to save them to Photo Library, text/e-mail them, or post to social media. It’s really quite useless.

L’application est intéressante pour accéder aux photos et vidéos prises avec l’Instax Mini Cinéma. Quelques idées pour améliorer l’expérience utilisateur : pouvoir télécharger photos et vidéos facilement depuis l’application, et surtout pouvoir 1) slider gauche-droite les photos comme dans une galerie photo, et 2) rester au niveau de la photo sélectionnée quand on clique sur une photo et qu’on revient à la galerie, pour éviter de devoir redescendre à chaque fois en swipant !
De petits ajustements mais qui rendraient l’utilisation plus simple et intuitive ☺️

Very disappointing Fujifilm
I bought a Fujifilm Mini Evo Cinema and tried to take photos from it using my phone. Firstly - the app is filled with unnecessary things - and wants you to agree to all sorts of terms and access all your photos just to connect. Secondly, you cannot transfer photos from the camera to your phone using the app (you cannot even export from the app). It wants you to share via cloud etc. thirdly you will be majorly frustrated at the editor when you try to create a film to share with your friends. Very bad practices by Fujifilm - considering this could be an amazing product experience if they tried. Instead it feels like a separate agency took over. I wish they just enabled connection via Fujifilm camera remote app and let us share how we want. Everything feels like they want to just mine data on young people trying to have fun. I will only use MicroSD transfer manually from now on - I will never update the camera as well. YOU CAN DO BETTER FUJIFILM!

Amazing, but some issues
It’s a good app and has some cool features, but I find it inconvenient that I have to pay for expensive film to print my images to then see the pictures. Can you make it so I can just transfer images that aren’t printed?

I hope you can add a feature that lets us edit photos into collages directly within the app, similar to what Instax LiPlay and Instax Mini Link offer.
Instax Mini Evo Cinema
I’m using this app with the Mini Evo Cinema camera so this review is specific to those products.
In the year of our lord 2026 FujiFilm expects you to either use a Micro SD reader to export your videos OR to physically print an instax photo (≈ $2.50 USD) with a QR code so that you can then download whatever video you’ve shot.
Again, you are physically using a dedicated app to connect to the Mini Evo Cinema to handle the photo/ video files BUT you cannot simply just export from the app to your photo gallery.
It’s a toy camera priced like a tool, with app infrastructure that feels like it was spec’d by a marketing department that never actually used the product. The QR video workflow exists so they can make it look cool in ads, not because it serves the person holding the camera.
Honestly at $410 you’re paying for the dial and the vibes. Which is fine if you know that going in, but the export situation should be in 72-point font on the box.
Do better Fuji.
