The feature to find the headphones is useless
If you use just one ear bud, say for just sleeping, and you attempt to use the power save feature — you’ll discover that it’s completely useless because using just the one ear bud will force Mono mode. It’ll never come out of it unless you find the ear bud you went to sleep with. It doesn’t matter if it actually has power, the app cannot detect it. We’re in 2026, and I’ve always wonder why there isn’t a power down mode and then utilizing a panic mode couldn’t be achieved. I’m well aware sleeping with ear buds that aren’t attached to wires isn’t optimal, but it’s just the fact that they offer useless modes.

Barely works with my beam 2s
I’ve owned many pairs of JBL earbuds my latest ones being the JBL vibe beam 2s and they’re fine not as ergonomic as the original vibe beams but the real problem is that they’re automatically “ambient aware” when you put them on which is awful and makes it impossible to hear whatever your trying to listen to clearly this shouldn’t be a problem because if you open the app you can just quick turn ambient aware off but the app is so finicky half the time it just will not recognize my ear buds.

Ehh pretty good.
Decent. Battery on the headphones is phenomenal. Could be more features for volume. Idk I think they’re really quiet sometimes. Also wish I could easier check the battery %.

Getting the buds into the just right position in the charger is a pain. You have to literally play around with them to sit correctly and charge. I’ve cleaned all the sensors and it’s still a constant battle. They are also terrible in the wind. Even the slightest breeze will cause them to be almost unusable.

People can’t hear me sometimes on my ear buds and if they do they say they hear me far away

I own several pairs of of ear buds. The JBL ear buds are my favorite. The fact that they can de active or passive noise canceling is really beneficial. Great sound and excellent product.

Disappointing performance
The app is fine. But the earbuds won’t stay connected long enough to have a 30 minute conversation. They act like the charge is gone, then I put em back in the case and check, and the charge is fine. Given what I paid for these it’s hugely frustrating. I have a set of $20 earbuds that perform more consistently. I doubt I’ll ever buy another JBL product again.

Update Deactivated Microphone
After a recent firmware update the mic is no longer working.
