Best Jellyfin client for iOS tbh
Best Jellyfin App!
Amazing UI but playback is a bit broken
If they can fix that this will definitely be my go to client for jellyfin!
Fixed. Broken on Ipad
Edit : works. 5* app kudos
Very promising, but not there yet
Excellent app! A true netflix replacement

Voici une réponse équilibrée, qui remercie sans promettre des fonctions trop précises : Thank you for the detailed review and recommendation! I’m glad JellyTV has made managing, requesting, and watching your library feel simple and seamless. The Picture in Picture and playback-resume issues you described are not the intended experience. Playback stability, video restoration, and transitions between PiP and the main app continue to be improved with each update. Your suggestions around monitoring active downloads, stopping problematic releases, and requesting another version are also very relevant, especially for users with automated media workflows. A more integrated mini-player experience is another area I’d like to improve. Thank you for taking the time to provide such specific feedback. It helps identify exactly where JellyTV still needs work to earn that fifth star !
Приятное, но ещё сырое приложение
The best Jellyfin client, but still room to improve!
The Best app out there
In a sense you set the standard for what a jellyfin player should look and feel like.
Only request I would like is live tv.
Thanks again!
Response from developer
Thank you so much for the incredible feedback! I’m really glad JellyTV stands out from the other Jellyfin clients you’ve tried and delivers the experience I’m aiming for across Apple devices. Live TV is a highly requested feature and is something I’m considering for a future update. Thanks again for your support and for helping set the direction for JellyTV’s continued development!
Good app, bad practices
The bad: There is an entire tab in the navigation bar dedicated to advertising a paid admin-subscription by locking you out of basic features. The Admin panel is one of four tabs in the always-on-your-screen navigation bar which does nothing except ask you to subscribe in order to use it. I could switch apps to Streamyfin or a dozen other 3rd party apps (or the official one) and use those very basic features for free. There's also a permanent ad on the Home Screen for a another separate subscription to 'JellyTV+' which is a hybrid between a support subscription, and a promise of access to "future features". What are these features and why will they be behind a paywall? It's a mystery.
Its a new app with a lot of potential design wise—aesthetic and UI are really important—but to be so ham-fisted with two different subscriptions to their client in its infancy leaves a bad taste in my mouth. I can't help but wonder how it will progress if the app increases its user-base. JellyTV is certainly not going to start asking for money *less* when more users join. If they must advertise their subscriptions, don't lock a whole key section behind a paywall while making it a permanent fixture on the screen. And why sell you basic admin features that are free literally anywhere else? I understand the JellyTV Apple Watch specific admin tools are actual unique value, which could be understandably paywalled, but merely restarting my server in-app? "Subscribe to unlock!"
Beyond that, there are odd grammar usages which give away it's a foreign app (eg. "Informations").
The app isn't very smooth and is a bit choppy when navigating the UI but I assume that will improve over time. It does taint the experience a bit especially in comparison to Streamyfin which is very smooth.

Thank you for taking the time to write such a detailed review. I’m glad you see the potential in JellyTV’s design, playback experience, Seerr integration, and overall feature set. Your criticism regarding the visibility of locked premium sections is fair. The Admin tab is intended for users who manage their server directly from JellyTV, but presenting a locked tab so prominently can make the experience feel more like an advertisement than a useful part of the app. I’m reviewing how premium features are presented so they are clearer and less intrusive for users who do not need them. JellyTV+ is not intended as a vague promise of unspecified future features. It supports ongoing development and unlocks additional functionality, but the distinction between free, premium, and admin features needs to be communicated more clearly. The grammar issues and interface performance you mentioned are also valid areas for improvement. Both localization quality and navigation smoothness continue to be refined with each update. Thank you for the direct feedback. Even when critical, reviews like this are useful because they highlight where the product experience and communication are not yet good enough !
Shows promise

JellyTV is named after Jellyfin and its Apple TV-inspired experience, rather than specifically referring to live television. That said, Live TV is one of the most requested missing features and is being considered for a future update. Thanks for the feedback!
Beautiful UI
Odd audio issue
Response from developer
Thank you for reporting this issue. Playing multiple audio tracks at the same time is not the intended behavior and can make affected files unusable. This audio track selection issue has since been fixed in a recent update. JellyTV should now play only the selected audio track when a file contains multiple tracks. Thank you for helping identify the problem, and please make sure you are using the latest version of the app !
Nice !
It finally brings a modern and polished experience while still keeping the authentic Jellyfin ecosystem and identity intact, instead of replacing it completely.
Some parts of the interface still feel a bit “AI-designed” or experimental, or some features need some polishs, but the foundation is already very strong. The overall direction fits incredibly well: a smooth Apple-like vibe mixed with the open and self-hosted spirit of Jellyfin.
Really excited to see where this app goes next.

Thank you so much for the kind words and support. Your feedback motivates me to keep building the best possible experience for users !
Take my money !

Excellence

Thank you! I’m really glad you like the UI and customization. Don't worry, IPTV support is planned for this year. I appreciate the feedback 😊
I really want to love this app
Response from developer
Thank you for the honest feedback, and I’m sorry about the crashes and freezes on Apple TV. That definitely isn’t the experience I want the app to deliver. Improvements are on the way with next update mid June. Thanks again for taking the time to share this.
The Best Jellyfin App on iOS
1. I added both “Bee and Puppycat” 2014 and 2022, on the banner up top, they both appear with the same logo, but no banner. Thinking it’s an issue with them having the same name?
2. “The Traitors” logo is cut off at the top
Other than that, no issues.
Response from developer
Thank you so much for the support and for buying JellyTV+ ! I’m really glad to hear it’s working well for you. Thanks also for the detailed bug reports, I’ll look into both issues!
Good client
Response from developer
Thank you so much! I’m glad to hear you like it. The sidebar isn’t editable by default at the moment, so yes, that’s intentional. It could come in a future update 😊
