I had a great experience with Ben for my bathtub and shower caulking job. From the beginning, he was professional and communicative, clearly explaining my options, including whether I wanted to supply materials or have him bring them.
He arrived right on time and came fully equipped with all the necessary tools, including cleanup supplies like garbage mbags and a vacuum. His work was done with great care and attention to detail, and he left the area very clean after completing the job.
What stood out most was that he took the time to walk me through the finished work and made sure everything met my expectations before leaving.

AI made it unusable
I tried to use this app to help my MIL get a quote for a task. The AI assistant made it completely unusable. It kept asking the same question that had been answered several times and I couldn’t get past that screen. Very frustrating experience.
Corporations giving false security
When asked if they do criminal background checks they were clueless as to why that would be important and tried to sell me that a corporation is doing checks that would be adequate enough.. laughable and sad

One of their electricians installed an outlet that caught fire and nearly burned my house down, they do not care. There is no accountability, and no recourse through them.

For the change of 35cad drain pump for a device’s brand new value is at 400cad, I’m being billed over 500cad. They manage unnecessary double visits and increase rates
Zero Work Done - Still Charged
I was misinformed regarding the duration of the project. I clearly communicated the full scope of work in advance and inquired about the expected timeframe. Based on that information, I understood the work would be completed during the scheduled appointment. However, upon arrival, I was advised that the project would actually require a full day to complete. Despite no work being performed, I was still charged the initial cost.

No Payment Protection for Pros
I completed a confirmed job through Jiffy - the client approved it, but payment was never released. Support ignored messages. There’s no real protection for workers here. I’ve filed a complaint with Consumer Protection BC.
Unrealistic ads
I don’t think I’ve seen a company use such shady advertising tactics in a long time. Will never use this company due to this! Radio hosts and pod casters aren’t using them like their lies are saying.

Too unreliable. Don't mind paying Jiffy’s tech startup without funding markups, but the problem is that the service is too bad. Jiffy also has zero diversity to its contractors, only men. We are choosing another service that is women-led.
Unwanted calls
They will share your phone number with potential contractors, I am getting unwanted calls.
