This is the most beautiful app. The guided meditations are calm and inspiring, and well organised. Jon is an inspiring presence throughout. It works well with unguided meditations as well. The technical support is excellent. The live Zoom sessions with Jon are a privilege to attend. The app well complements Jon’s invaluable books. Thank you to all the team!

Cannot access meditations
Support for this App is terrible. I’ve reported problems many times and unable to resolve. Only thing that works is the Silence with Bells which is basically a timer. Too expensive for just that. I was eventually able to access the app with support from others (not the developer). The use of a third party platform and confusion on user name and password stymied my attempts to resolve access problems. Although now resolved, I do not credit the app support with this. They were not helpful.

Highly recommend
I spent a long time looking for recorded meditations to assist me in developing a practice. This app is by far the best. It is basic, and that is its beauty. It maintains the focus on the meditation. No attempt at selling you more. Just meditate
A wonderful app, unlike any others
I use this app every day, and have found it a really important tool in developing a strong daily meditation practice and cultivating moment to moment awareness. Jon’s guided meditations and teachings are truly transformative. The live sessions with him that are offered through the app are really special. Unlike other apps, this one isn’t trying to pile on more and more guided meditations of different types - instead it’s delivering Jon’s kind, wise teaching in an easily accessible, well-structured, simple to use and very affordable package. The guided meditations can be used over and over - there’s always something different to discover in them. I’m very grateful for this app, and to the helpful team behind it, and of course to Jon Kabat-Zinn himself for his compassion, humanity, wisdom and clarity. I hope new users will find the app as helpful as I do.

A great meditation app, unlike any other. Jon Kabat-Zinn is the best. I love his monthly live meditations …i learn so much. I highly recommend this app and I am so grateful for it.

Best mindfulness app
These guided practices are real life-changing ones. Jon has more than 50 years experience. Some short practices 10 minutes or even less, some 20, 30, 45 minutes or more. Sitting, laying down, standing or yoga, mindfulness in all its diverse dimensions.
Superb content - bad app
This app is poorly built. Someone has to say it or it won’t get better.
Love everyone’s intention attached to this project but you are failing on execution.
1. Downloading for offline listening works sporadically, buggy, and frequently then just doesn’t playback after it is supposedly downloaded. Not sure if you are trying to save bandwidth but the user experience is poor. Perhaps simply add a button where you can download all the audio files to make sure they’re on your phone because right now it’s unclear if they are or are not downloading.
2. Core function is playback and this frequently stops half way through. This is silly because there are long stretches of silence during the recordings so am I in a stretch of silence or has the app broken? I don’t want the feeling of now having to look at the app to check that takes me out of it being mindful.
3. For a monthly subscription, the above is not fair. I pay the monthly subscription to support JKZ, MBSR, and the global sangha. But it would be cheaper and more convenient for me to just rebuy all the recordings and put them on my phone.
4. The payment processing and account management are a mess. If you pay for the subscription on Apple that should immediately start working - other reviews have brought this up. Instead there are common issues with the payment somehow not registering for the account you have. Your account and payment logic is broken.
Love that this app exists and love the intention to bring JKZ’s work to the world in this format. The periodic web calls are also phenomenal.
I really appreciate the team who proactively reached out to Jon to build this. But you are letting Jon’s body of work down with your execution. Please do better in 2026.

App needs polish, basic features are buggy
I subscribed to this app to follow along as I read Full Catastrophe Living. I think the app is a nicer convenience than downloading the meditations from the website (yes you can buy them individually for a one time cost from the website instead! You don’t have to pay this monthly subscription) because they are easy to find and pull up this way. But. But. Sometimes the play/pause button gets stuck in one state or the other, and sometimes the 10s forward/rewind buttons are unresponsive, and when I tried to submit feedback I felt like I got the runaround the first couple messages (try resinstalling the app, it’s normal behavior, etc) and when it seems like an app can’t reliably fulfill the basic functions of an audio player, why should it cost a monthly subscription? I expect some amount of that cost to go toward maintenance and I’m just not seeing it, I don’t think this app is polished enough for more than 3 stars. The meditations are good though.

Safety and Sleep to Start
Dear John,Thank you for having the videos on mindfulness meditation, and yoga on free on YouTube! In the beginning in I was using the videos to help me fall asleep. They help put me in a safe state. Then I started staying awake and enjoying them. They contributed so much to my mind and body helping me to feel better and relax and regain my energy. I appreciate you so much more than you’ll ever know! My son as a teenager started learning about mindfulness and when he entered university he was so excited to come home and share with me that he knew all about you and mindfulness through me and he was proud that he was on already on this healthy path. He was also able to sign up for a MBSR course through Humber College(Finch location Toronto) and found it extremely helpful as University and life comes with many challenges. I have many of your audible books. I also have your MBSR workbook and of course your app! Thanks for keeping it low cost and commercial free very accessible to all. Love you and your team John!

Subscription Doesn’t Work
I paid for a subscription to access all the locked content. Yet, the content remained locked. The app support is weak at best and not responsive.

App doesn’t work
I tried this app a few months ago and it didn’t work. It did well with taking my money, but did not unlock access to the meditations. Now, it said there was an “update”, but after subscribing, it did well with taking my money, but terrible at unlocking access to the meditations.
Please update the app or remove it since it’s not being maintained. It’s misleading to say reinstall the app if one can’t access the meditations after subscribing and that doesn’t work.

JKZ App has everything you need if you use it as directed. Repeat. Repeat. Repeat. The recorded Live sessions going back almost 5 years have insight after insight if you watch them all; then repeat! Content Great, Technology A Catastrophe
Frustrating. Jon Kabst-Zinn is so idealist as judged by his excellent writing, but there is a disconnect with the app dies not work. Keeps asking ne to restore my purchase then agsin asks me to signup!

The customer representative really tried to help out as much as they could but nevertheless I wasn’t able to subscribe. There was a problem with the app and they said that the developer indicated the issue has been fixed but no matter what I do I cannot subscribe. So the app may not be l accessible to everyone and the reasons are some bug that is hard to fix
