question about purchase
I purchased this app on Android. I used the same Google ID, but I'm being asked to pay again. Why is this happening?
Deletes progress!!
I have been using this app for over a month and I’m going to have to delete it. I downloaded it to write stories on.
I love the dark background. I like the way it stores your documents. Trying to export them to other apps is very buggy, but I don’t blame that on JotterPad.
HOWEVER, I have had several instances where I will be in a document, close it out, and when I go back in huge chunks of my writing is gone.
This has cost me hours of work, as I have to go back and re-write portions of stories over and over, as the app deletes the progress when it gets closed.
I’ve tried several methods of closing it out, from just swiping it away to actually backing all the way out of the document. It didn’t make a difference.
And there’s no rhyme or reason to which documents get chunks removed, so I believe it’s a glitch in the app itself that’s causing it to not auto save.
Very disappointing and frustrating, so it will be getting deleted as soon as I can remove my files from it.

갑자기 글 쓰던거 다 날라갔어요
???? 들어가봣더니 갑자기 글 쓰던게 뒤로누르기 버튼 누른거마냥 다 돌아갔는데... 이거 어케 해결하나요??? 그전까지는 잘 저장 됐는데 왜 갑자기 이런....?? 이거 복구 좀 해주세요ㅠㅠㅠ 제발ㅠㅠㅠ
So Buggy
The basics are difficulty in the fountain syntax. You can’t even delete lines. It has an order of Scene, Action, Character, Dialogue. That you have to go in. You can’t go back and change it—take out a line of action, add a parenthesis. None of it. Which means it’s only useful if you knew your script word for word, typed it out exactly correct the first time, and didn’t need to change anything or work through versions. So it makes editing or rewriting nearly impossible.

아이패드에서 폰트 지원이 안됩니다.
안드로이드에서는 원하는 폰트를 적용했는데 아이패드에서는 그 폰트를 적용할 수 없어 가독성이 떨어집니다.
Not worth the hassle
It's *VERY* similar to another program I have called Highland 2. Unfortunately there are no instructions for novices and the accessibility is pathetic
keeps deleting what all i had written. its really frustrating.
whatever I had typed and then if i go back and open it again, everything is gone. I don’t know why this happens but it’s been happening for a few times now and its really frustrating. I had been using jotterpad for two years now and have suggested jotterpad to some of my friends as well. But now, because of this issue, im thinking of changing my primary writing app to notion or maybe even microsoft word where whatever we type in is saved in the file in real time. i really wish jotterpad had this feature.

Awesome, but…
This is a really good writing app, would strongly recommend to your average delinquent but it has a major problem, everything I write it just doesn’t get remembered and I do not know if this is a bug but please patch this?

No customer support
App is flawed. Some features don't work and nobody is available during the regular work hours JotterPad claims to be manning the chat feature. Also, I can't get the publish feature to work with tumblr and Wordpress.
Smart quotes? Auto dash?
This app could be so great but so many frustrating format issues are holding it back. Prior to now, I could get smart quotes (the curly kind) and automatic dash (—) to work on my iPhone, but now neither work. It’s frustration after frustration that has me regretting paying for a subscription. Really play around with this app during the 3 day trial before deciding to drop the yearly on it like I did, only to realize the app is far more irritating to use than what you already had.

The best of the bunch
I’ve used Scrivener, Ulysses, even Werdsmith, and Jotterpad is my favorite out of all of them. I have it on all my devices, even my android tablet, and it syncs perfectly with google drive. The variety of templates (including several that will automatically format your novel for you), the typewriter, and the built-in dictionary and thesaurus cannot be beat. I just wish we had widgets!

Most useless app ever don’t bother getting it
The stupid thing updated itself and deleted every piece of work I had on it. Don’t bother wasting your time or effort using this, you’ll end up regretting it trust me. Would give it a 0 if possible.
Seems like it should’ve been really good
Warning: I wanted to download this app to help format a screenplay I’ve been writing because I was tired of having to manually format everything. But if that’s what you’re looking to do as well, you need to pay money to even gain access to that feature. The app seems like it would be really good, but after your download it, if you’re looking to do anything screenplay related you’d have to pay for it.

Text restoration issues
This app has crashed two times since I’ve had it and I didn’t restore to the latest version of a story I was writing so my most recent work on that story is now gone I’m so tired of this inconvenience and I hope the developers fix this in the near future

Your New Best Friend, But It Has A Catch
All reviews I’ve seen are pretty good, and I can vouch for them. It’s everything you’d expect with a little bit more, but I’m having a unique problem.
Sometimes the app will crash while I’m typing in a note. If I return to the note, all content I added will be wiped.

You can go back to an audition named “Versions” to try and copy paste back your note. This works in theory, but I can only recover so much. Never the whole thing, if the note was big.
There could be a way around this that I never found out about, or I could just be missing something, but I’m curious if anyone else has had this problem. Please fix, JotterPad!

I’ve been using JotterPad for over two years across multiple platforms as a means of recording the subjects and thoughts on those subjects for essays, blogposts, and a potential podcast.
