Fraudulent app
Update as of 12/29
Kachinga support responded to my email about the missing deposit. In their email they blamed my bank for the delay in crediting the account claiming my bank flagged my account incorrectly. This claim by Kachinga was false. Kachinga said they fixed the error and sure enough when I login to the app it now shows the correct available balance. My son attempted to use the card today for the first time and it was declined. I called the number on the back of the card and was told the account balance was $0.

Response from developer
We’re sorry to hear about your ongoing frustration. We want to assure you that we take these concerns very seriously. We also understand how important it is to have clarity and confidence in your account. When funds are transferred via the app, they need to be moved from the wallet to the prepaid card for child accounts to be available for transactions. This ensures security and proper allocation of funds for card use. For clarity You can do this easily in the app under the wallet section. We encourage you to reach out directly if you continue to experience challenges. Please email us at Support@Kachinga.com, and we will work with you to ensure everything is resolved to your satisfaction. 12/13; We're sorry to hear that you've had some challenges during the setup process. Our support team responds quickly via email as well as on the phone. If you feel you've missed a response, please be sure to check your spam folder as well. If this was a new transfer, ACH processing is used which takes several business days. Please reach out at Support@Kachinga.com for further support.

Doesn’t work anymore :(
No longer works
free version clunky
the free version allows you to setup different chords to track, but if you miss any dates, it’s very difficult (if even possible at all) to go back and change things.
I’ve uninstalled, as this isn’t doing much more than the built-in phone calendar can do.
how do u get the card

Almost perfect, competition doesn’t stack up
We really like Kachinga but there are just two things that we feel could be implemented to make it perfect:
1. The lack of option to pay for a customized card. The boring purple un-customizable card is why we didn’t go with this company first. Go Henry allowed for you to select from several fun options, and Greenlight allowed you to upload your own design. Not a huge deal, but you could potentially attract more customers if this were changed.
2. Please please please (we beg you) make the option to allow the amount paid for each chore to be subdivided daily. For example, my child can earn $2 a week for keeping her room tidy. However if she doesn’t get a check mark on one day out of 7, she loses the whole $2. So if she keeps the room clean Monday and Tuesday but doesn’t do well on Wednesday, she loses the money for the entire week. Therefore, she gives up and stops trying from just having one off day. (“What’s the point?” she says, “I’ve already lost the money this week anyway”). A better option would be to penalize the child 1/7 of the $2 for each day they don’t get a check mark.
I think if those two things were changed, this app would be perfect. It’s still a great tool though. Thank you!
