Has potential, not great yet
I do think it has potential to be a pretty good app, especially since therapy is incredibly expensive and it’s good to have a companion to reach for to help you set goals and work through issues. However, as it currently is, it’s not something I would currently invest in. It also made my phone extremely hot extremely quickly (and I have a 17 pro max) so I’m wary of using it currently.

Groundbreaking
This is a brilliant platform to help and aid disordered eating recovery. The AI is super customisable and genuinely insightful. You can use the microphone to have a grounding conversation before after during a disordered episode. Even when you’re winning, Kahani is that to validate that.
I love how it takes the focus of food and places it on addressing cognitive difficulties.

Love it
I have struggled for a long time to find accessible help and tool for my recovery and this app has been exactly that. It makes it easy to be able to understand better what’s going on inside and be able to be there for yourself. I wish I had this kind of help when I was a teenager and young adult, it would’ve made things a lot better.

More than food
This app is so thoughtfully designed. It helps you learn to understand why you turn to food, but it also helps you understand the areas of your life that you can bring in more peace. As someone who works with women who struggle with emotional eating, I love the tools that the Kahani app provides. It’s like my clients have someone with them when they are not with me that is intuitive and supportive. I highly recommend.

Better than Recovery Record
Recovery Record never really worked for me and I like that Kahani spends more time on the mental aspect of recovery.
