Doesn’t track prices easily
Doesn’t track prices and can’t search items as easily as before. Now just full of ads and rewards which is not why I used this
WTH
Whose bright idea was it to destroy the app’s main purpose and utility- I was genuinely confused when I went to look for my saved items (which I couldn’t find)and was met with a gaming UI - horrible idea. If I wanted to play a game I would do that. It’s so irritating when people call themselves making improvements to “fix” something that wasn’t broken in the first place. I will be deleting the app as a result. Let me know when you go back to old user model.

New update
This has been one of my favourite apps for so long, was so easy to navigate and get to stores to save items straight to your wish list.
Do people agree this new update is terrible? They seem to focus more on games and earning than the actual main reason this app was made?
Not someone to write reviews etc but I’ve never seen an app make such a bad update, hoping it’s not just me who feels this way and they will change it back to how it was before.

Formerly amazing. 6y later — useless
When I opened the app today, I couldn’t believe this is what’s become of Karma. Defaulting to a GAMES page when the original point of your app is *checks notes* shopping?? The entire layout just looks tacky and off-putting. I’ve seen Karma change drastically, but it’s becoming genuinely unusable at this point. I already had to delete your Chrome extension because of the disgusting, nauseating pop up ads (closeup shots of a scalp to promote hair growth supplements?!). Do I have to delete the mobile app now, too?
I’ve used Karma for about six years, back when it was called Shoptagr. I’m a frequent user — I’ve used the mobile app, browser extension, and desktop site.
Karma used to be a great way to keep track of items and spend money more intentionally. Of course, every app is bound to make changes.
But in the last two years or so, Karma has degraded its product in ways that are truly baffling. It started with introducing the cash back feature, I’m assuming to compete with Rakuten and Honey. I simply ignored the cash back feature at first — I only use Karma for the price tracking and lists.
It didn’t stop there. Their user experience made it clear that they were trying to “gamify” user experience. They started pushing the cash back feature even more heavily, and have introduced games(??) to further monetize their users.
When you open the app today, it’s clear that they’ve deprioritized the shopping aspect of the app. It’s hard to search for items and navigate your OWN lists — features that used to be cornerstones of the app. I just want to see the content I’ve saved, but Karma now treats the shopping component as a niche part of their strange, ugly ecosystem. It’s unfortunate, because this used to be a go-to app for me that I recommended to multiple people.
Now, I’m actively seeking an alternative. Hopefully I can get them to delete my personal data, but they’ve probably already sold it to Hims and Kalshi.
How many Karma coins do I get for my review?

Confused
I loved this app but they updated the layout and I find it so much harder to navigate now!
