Wtf is going on
Spend £900 and spend hours trying to get the speakers to update. Still not working. Will prob have to send them back. Absolute rubbish. LSX LT II

cannot connect
Have to spend at least 30 minutes every time I try to connect and listen. Do you test your app before releasing to your customers?

Works great for what it does
I don't know why this gets such poor reviews, it works great for doing the things you need it to do, ie switching between modes and all that. The integration with Deezer and my DLNA server is excellent, better than VLC which I was using. I can add songs to queue from multiple sources, I think that is so cool! And I like to use the app instead of Airplay because it avoids the hiccup while Airplay initializes, missing the first few seconds of the song. Finally fade between songs is seamless. Overall very nice app from a small Audiophile oriented company, very impressed just like I am with the speakers. Thanks!

Awful connectivity management for LSX II
Bought speakers from Costco, past 3 month mark for return window. Apple Airplay is hit or miss and I’m wired Ethernet for both Apple TV and Speakers. $700 of frustration!!!
Still doesn’t work
Updated both firmware and application. Have super fast broadband and *still* the app will not connect to the speakers more than 10% of the time. Really unacceptable. Wish I’d gone Sonos.
Mac and iPhone
I just bought the KEF LSX II LT from Costco for $500 and had no idea how to connect them to my Mac mini. Once I found out there’s this KEF Connect app I went to the App Store to download it - it said for iPad, not Mac. After downloading it to my Mac mini I couldn’t get the speakers to connect, so I downloaded the app on my iPhone too. It took a while, but the speakers finally connected to the iPhone, which then led to the Mac mini being able to use them. It took some patience and the use of AI to help troubleshoot. In the app there’s a normal and expert mode settings, and I recommend going through both to see what’s best for your setup - my factory setup was terrible, making me feel like I wasted $500 for what was supposed to be great speakers for their class. After a little fine tuning with the help of AI, they sound much better. Unless you’re an audio tech person, you’ll probably want some AI help in figuring out what the sounds settings are for and how they impact the result, as the app doesn’t give that sort of help. Good luck, and be patient for it to all come together!

Bare bones app that doesn’t work
Severely limited functionality
The fact that the user manual isn’t native to the app should be a point of shame. Even link for FAQ and support just leads me to a page asking me to buy more of their products. Why bother making an app if you’re going to give it 5% functionality?
Jellyfin Beware
do NOT plan on using KEF Connect with a hosted media service via Jellyfin. Nothing but headaches.
The last update wrecked my LSX II LT
Cannot connect to the Wi Fi network anymore. Nothing works 😤
Stopped working in iPhone16 pro since last update.
My LS50 Wireless connected through Ethernet, it works only with AirPlay. The app keeps connecting and disconnecting at a fast pace all the time, even with the last update two days ago. Please debug.

iPhone 16 pro max, cannot connect to LS50 wireless II. KEF became the most expensive brick in my home.
Gets the job done
Had not trouble to get my Lsx2 connected to the network and app. App works well, and each update improves the ease of use. Like the ability to customize the sound of my speakers.
Terrible
Do not buy KEF speakers they always disconnect from the app and once you try to reconnect them good luck. If you plan on using them daily that will not be the case because they never work. Buy another brand not KEF. This big of a company and they can’t fix a simple connectivity issue that they have had for over 6 years.

Avoid
I have the CODA W. This app attempts to update the speaker but then fails and bricks the speakers. Full reset necessary and it’s a lengthy process including unplugging for 30 mins and then praying while holding a 10ft crocodile who wants to marry your baby cousin.

Can you please make it stable? I constantly encounter connections problems!!!
