When it works it’s great
The app has become really unstable lately. It just flashes when started, refusing to see my device until I manually disconnect and reconnect it on the device every time. The old CA app and mconnect work fine with it.
Sehr funktional
Gut aufgebaute, einfach zu bedienende App zur Steuerung meines Evo 150 SE
Worst ever
This may be the worst app I’ve ever used. It keeps disconnecting from the streamer. Adding anything to the queue is a nightmare. Very unreliable and not user friendly at all. Unfortunately have to return the streamer just because of the terrible app.
Great product.
I have a simple usage case in fairness: Not had any real issues. Do have one UI comment to make though - if you want to change the volume on a mxn10, you have to climb through several menus to get there. It can be a bit annoying. Perhaps a widget with volume control on it would be a good solution? Otherwise no real issues (a bit of a learning curve though, as should be expected) with the app.

Problem
Hello,
I am using a first-generation Cambridge Audio CXN (CXN V1) with the latest version of the StreamMagic app on iOS.
Every time I launch the StreamMagic app, I get the following message:
“Get one step closer to great sound. Complete a few quick steps to set up and update your device for maximum effect.”
The problem is that my CXN has already been fully configured and has been working for years. After I tap “Continue”, the message simply disappears and the app opens normally. There are no setup steps to complete. However, the exact same message appears again the next time I launch the app.
I have already tested the following:
I completely removed the old CA Connect app.
I changed the CXN name and several other device settings in StreamMagic. The changes were saved correctly and remained after closing and reopening the app.
I restored the original settings, and they were also saved correctly.
The CXN is discovered normally by StreamMagic and can be controlled without any problems.
The device firmware has always been updated directly from the CXN itself.
In StreamMagic, the firmware status is shown as “Unavailable”.
It therefore appears that the app correctly communicates with and stores settings for the CXN, but does not remember that the initial setup has already been completed.
Could you please confirm whether this is a known issue with CXN V1 and the current version of StreamMagic? If not, is there a recommended way to reset the app's setup/onboarding status without performing a factory reset on the CXN?
Thank you.
