Knossos Guide is Hard to Follow and AI Sounding
Despite saying there is a map, I spent hours searching and found no map. The walking directions are very limited and not detailed “turn left” “go up” and similar directions that are extremely hard to follow without visual markers. Guide mispronounces words and sounds AI generated. I could not find many of the stops due to the lack of map and poor directions.

The audio is accompaniment to the tour is terrible. The speaker is knowledgeable but her thoughts are disconnected. She emphasizes tiny details and misses main points (compared to other audio). Her translation in English is incoherent at times, using phrases that do not make any sense. The audio also skips parts of the tour.

Neben relativem geringer Informationsdichte stößt vor allem die extrem schlechte, automatisierte Übersetzung durch AI auf: sprachliche Formulierungen sind derart unnatürlich und schlicht falsch, dass ich diesen Audioguide für die Akropolis in Athen (vermutlich auch alle anderen) in deutscher Sprache nicht empfehlen kann.

Liked a Plaka tour
I used it for a tour around Plaka in Athens and it was quite nice tour. At some point it was hard to find a best way between stops, but I liked the information at the stops.
I wish it had x1.5 (or x1.2) speed of playback, but other than that it’s alright app

Die geographische Ortung funktioniert leider nicht gut.. Am besten man bleibt stehen und wählt die Beiträge manuell aus. Es wird gesagt man soll der Route folgen - mir war unklar, wie ich gehen soll…
Auch die Übersetzung ist leider derart schlecht, dass sich Zusammenhänge nicht erschließen. Das Nachlesen bei Wiki war deutlich informativer - für den Überblick.
Gut ist aber die Möglichkeit des Downloads und das flexible hin und her blättern.

Der schlechteste Guide, den ich je benutzt habe!
Die Informationen sind nur spärlich und die Funktionen wie :Ortung und Fortsetzung der Audiodateien sind mangelhaft!

Poorly constructed app that may cause you to spend more time trying to get the app to work when you should be looking at the phenomenal surroundings. save your money and time and use the captions on the signs on site. I would give it zero stars if that was possible..
Interesting content but very poor directions
It would have been much more helpful if the corresponding numbers were at each site. As it was we were all turned around. Also when talking of the kings throne it should be mentioned that this site is not actually on site. Very frustrating
Cheaply produced with bad AI
The audio AI is very poorly done, and the tours themselves often sound like they were written with AI, but they also have typos which makes me think it’s someone who doesn’t really care writing the tour dialogue. I did the Knossos Palace tour and the Heraklion tour, both of which had issues. The Heraklion tour route made sense, but there were times the geolocation went off and I was nowhere near the site. The Saint Minas Cathedral was also not in the right place at all in the app. The Knossos tour was not better; it was riddled with typos and the route it attempted to take me on did not make sense. I think all of this was produced with cheap AI and it shows.

Idee gut, Umsetzung mangelhaft
GPS Lokalisierung funktioniert leider nur sehr mangelhaft (trotz perfekter Darstellung auf der Karte). Audio startet an falschen Orten und unterbricht auch manuel gestartete Stationen, teilweise auch mehrfach hintereinander.
Audio ist mit einer mittelmäßigen KI vorgelesen.
Besser die kostenlose App/website nutzen (QR Code am Eingang)

OK if reading lots of text on info boards is awkward for you
Unless you struggle to read info boards, just read them at the attractions and don’t bother with this app. The info boards are much more informative and easier to use than this app.

Only works for acropolis but not for others sites
Could be better
The app was perfect for the Delphi Museum tour. However, it was awful for the archeological site: geolocation worked only half the time, too much information leaving in front of a monument until the narrator is done (links to more information would be a better option) - I just ended up closing it and enjoying the site by myself.

English not good and little information
It’s around 15USD for the Acropolis audio guide. I disliked two things about it : (1) Very little information was actually provided. I compared with what the guides provided on site, and this app is probably only 5-10% of the information. (2) The voice over is terrible. The person who read the English text probably doesn’t actually speak English. It was at times very hard to understand. I am pro culture and have no problems with accent, but when the English is so bad that one cannot understand, it’s not productive. Verdict : not worth it. Read on Wikipedia for each monument yourself.
