If you came here because of Startpage, don’t waste your dollar.
Apple has removed all the functionality of this app with its latest Safari updates. You can’t add or change keywords or websites, and you cannot change the default search page behavior.
Best way to add search engines to Safari
Dl’d this because I wanted to use Startpage as my default search in Safari. This totally does the trick. The keyword search feature is cool too, but I mainly got this to just change the default search, and it does that seamlessly. Thanks Arne!

Safari’s Missing Feature!
This is clearly a missing feature in Safari! Glad this plug-in addresses it! The only thing that would make this better is if it had automating between my devices!

Gets annoying when you’re on duckduckgo and trying to search “i ____” and it immediately takes you to a google images search. Like it’s cool, but when it affects every search bar it gets so old so fast. Google now thinks I’m a robot and gives me recaptcha prompts for every search now.

Solves an annoying problem for me. Now I can search a specific site by typing the query and the search character and hitting command+B right from Spotlight. Awesome! Thanks!
Funktioniert seit Monaten nicht mehr
Manchmal funktioniert es, dann wieder nicht. Insofern also nicht zu gebrauchen. Es gibt bessere Apps, bei denen die Suche mittels eines Keywords einwandfrei funktioniert.
Worked greatly till iOS 17.5
The app worked greatly till I installed iOS 17.5. Since then it does not work anymore. So sad. I hope the developer will fix this in an update.

Amazing in its simplicity
You wonder why this functionality is not by default provided within a browser.

The extension works great and with the new „default“ setting one can finally use a custom search engine by default.

The absolute best
This is the missing feature from other browsers for me. I wanted to swtich to the Safari Browser in order to benefit from the power savings in the context of the M processors, which Chrome and others don't have. The only downside for me was the missing feature of keyboard search in the search bar on other websites or internal tools at work. With this I can search our knowledge base, HR websites, Salesforce, etc. in no time without having to wait for the landing page to load to show me the search bar. This time is wasted. The bulk import capability with the help of JSON is reasonably easy to use and allowed me to migrate quickly to Safari. Awesome tool. Never again without it! THANKS!

Mit dieser App kann man absolut nichts machen, zumindest nicht auf ios 17.1 Da wird nur die Oberfläche zu Erklärung eingeblendet, aber eingeben kann man da absolut nichts.

맥 쓰는 많은 이들이 그러하듯 저도 여러 웹브라우저를 신나게 유람했습니다. 그러다 다시 사파리로 돌아오면서 가장 불편했던 것이, 크로미엄 계열 브라우저에서 요긴히 잘 쓰던 Search Shortcut 기능이 없다는 것이었어요.
우연히 이 앱을 발견했는데, 업무용 맥북에 설치하고 매우 기분이 좋았지만 설정 내보내기도 안되고 해서 방에 있는 맥에 세팅할 엄두가 나지 않았어요. 그런데 아이클라우드 동기화? 개발자야! 고맙다!
