Confusing
This is a very confusing app to use to set lights on and off. It drops connection and doesn’t work 90% of the time. Very frustrating for the cost.
This App Destroys Marriages
There are real problems with setting up both WiFi and Bluetooth connections through this app. My wife and I were excited to use our new lighting system. I’m 29. It didn’t work.
I’ve seen small airplanes easier to maneuver than this app. Kichler- hint- just make it like a blue tooth speaker system.

Needs HomeKit integration
Good piece of hardware and the app is basic and useful. But it has a major flaw and that it does not integrate with Apple HomeKit. This will limit it to applicability for many households.
Why does my light timer have a privacy policy?
I have 2 university degrees in computer science so technical knowledge is not the issue. I just find it crazy that all I want is a light timer and I have to consent to conditions, login, provide an email address, do updates.
I bought what the installer told me to get, but if I had to do it again I’d buy a mechanical timer.

I went back to a manual timer
The app is sluggish with a terrible UI. No Apple Home support.
2.4 GHz WiFI required
Struggled to connect to smart transformer. Then used manual mode and in fine print it says connect via 2.4GHz, not 5 GHz. If you are close to router it will default to 5GHz. So need to turn off 5GHz signal on router and then turn t will default to 2.4GHz and then connects right away.
Just doesn’t work
It works for a day then stops. I set the timer. Nope. I set the schedule. Nope. I used some of the pre-set schedules. Nope. The only thing that works is the Power button. Useless. And because this is outside, turning it on without the app requires opening the box outside. Id never have selected these lights but the landscape installer only offered these. waste of a few thousand dollars.

The app simply does not control the schedule
I contacted Kichler to describe my problem; the app would not turn the default timers off, and I couldn’t control my lighting system by Google Home, or any of the other assistance at the Kichler app says are easy to connect. I think this is the first time I’ve been gaslighted Kichler Tech kept telling me no I’m not having a problem with my lighting system and the schedules are working just fine but that’s not my experience. pretty disappointing, considering the lighting system and a few bugs poorly are ruining my experience

This app is horrible.
The user friendliness of this app is not good at all. Trying to figure out how to create automated schedules is ridiculous and most of the time it doesn’t work anyways. I always need to manually turn on my lights.
Winner of the award for worst UI
I can only guess that the person who designed the UI enjoys puzzles as a hobby. The app is needlessly complex for doing the simplest tasks, such as setting a timer for turning outdoor lights on and off. Way too many steps, forcing you to navigate through mysterious options, only to have the lights not turn on or off because you did something wrong…The user experience is so bad that it’s actually kind of hilarious, if you can escape the frustration for a minute.
The latest twist: something, I would guess a software update, made the automation disappear. The lights still turn on and off, but I can’t make any changes to that automation. I created a new scheme, in the hopes that the invisible old automation won’t interfere with it…Oh, the anticipation!

Terrible UI
One of the worst apps I have used from a UI perspective.
Also failed for no reason and I had to reconnect.
If I had not spent $65 for the hardware, I would just trash it.

Scheduled presets
The issue identified by a reviewer a year ago still has not been addressed. I spoke with customer service who indicated it was a known issue. Would be great if the company could get the product to work properly.

Won’t connect
Changed internet service and have tried at least 30 times to connect to the new internet. It will not connect to the new service. Very frustrating and will be looking for a new device.

Schedule presets not working. Greyed out. Error message of “click too fast”

Preset schedules not working
Have been using my own schedules for a while; “on” always works but “off” has been inconsistent lately. Thought I would try the preset scheduling, specifically “PM and AM”. Cannot get it to turn on at all. Difficulty turning on some of the others - “6PM to midnight” doesn’t even allow for setting of days, just hangs. Have confirmed similar difficulty through supplier. Thought it might be my own schedules that were the issue (i.e. conflict re on/ off times) so deleted these but it made no difference. Awaiting help from tech support. Trying to establish if it is the timer or the app that is the issue.

The app does not provide an option to schedule a timer. Can you fix this app?

Schedule presets not working
I’m not sure if this is an IOS15 issue or not, but the schedule presets don’t work. Dusk to dawn and other presets are greyed out and don’t allow setup. Needs to be fixed.
