What's New in Kinapod

1.3

September 14, 2026

Kinapod Disc is now Kinapod — one AirPod, multiple sports. NEW: Bowling — drop an AirPod into the thumb hole (plugged with a bit of sponge) and measure every roll: ball speed, release rev rate, roll time, and axis tilt. Up to 4 players can share one ball, with rolls credited by turn order. NEW: Indoor Run — tuck an AirPod under your shoelaces and it becomes a footpod on the treadmill: cadence, ground contact time, vertical oscillation and running power. Upload to Strava with form metrics included. NEW: Outdoor Run — GPS pace, distance and route map, plus the same AirPod form metrics and Strava upload. NEW: Game mode for frisbee — lay the phone on the sideline and play ultimate: live stall count, completions vs turnovers, hang time, and your backhand/forehand split on a big spectator scoreboard. Also: • Updated setup instructions for every mount • The experimental rangefinder has been removed to keep the app focused on motion tracking

A++

Dumbfounded from how well this works. Highly recommend for disc golfers who want throw data.

Amazing for disc golf tracking

I didn't want to drill a hole in my discs so I got some tape and hoped it held as a quick test and it works amazing! Gets hyzer and nose angles as well as the speed and spin. My only complaint is there's a "calibrating tone frequency" that started playing from the AirPod in my ear, the one on the disc, and from my phone. Hopefully a small bug that will be patched soon but the app itself is amazing!
