I don’t recommend it !!!

When we acquired it it didn’t say an extra charge, after a while we didn’t have access to the cameras, they asked us for a monthly payment. I don’t recommend them.

Software is terrible and expensive

So far it has told me a house finch is a raven, a blue grosbeak, and a warbler. It can’t recognize a house sparrow. It can’t recognize a squirrel. The software is useless. I have to correct it more than it gets right. Do not spend money on this software unless you know nothing about birds and want to see a bunch of incorrect detections.

Kiwibit Video Bird Feeder

I purchased the above video bird feeder for my husband and me. We absolutely love it. The ease of the setup was amazing. The camera quality is great. The wide angle camera is far superior than my last video bird feeder. Highly recommend.

Weird unnecessary AI features

The app was good and well designed until recently, they replaced the section where you could easily sort through dates and time stamps with a "feed" that AI generates stories for every bird captured. It's unnecessary, repetitive and honestly pretty annoying. The app feels clunky and it seems like these features were just added for novelty. The new updates have made me want to avoid looking at the clips from the day altogether, which is frustrating since that's the main reason I bought the product.

Don’t like the new update

Disappointed with the new update. Can I go back? I want to stick to simplicity. I don’t need an over exaggerated AI description of what the bird is doing. It’s eating. Other than that, I really enjoy my bird feeder and have had great customer service.

The new update sucks

I enjoyed checking the total number of birds that visited each day to see if there was any sort of pattern. The new update doesn’t let you do that without doing a bunch of gymnastics. Whose stupid idea was this???

Changed Activity to Feeds

Used to be able to see number of visits. Update changed that to AI generated description of what I’m seeing. Since 90% of what I see are cardinals it’s a bit repetitive. We get over 100 visits per day. I use the count to set recording frequency and timing. Data no longer available so have to count manually

for no reason this app kicked me out overnight, and support isn’t available until TUESDAY and it won’t let me log in to my account and is giving me false network errrors. what a useless system. what is support even there for? now i won’t be able to use my feeder for days. thanks!!!!

Could be great

I was excited to use my video bird feeder but the app does an extremely poor job of identifying bird species. Very rarely will it identify the type of bird. I have common species coming to my feeders so I was expecting this feature to work.
