Ads During Active Tornado Sirens
Immediately uninstalled this app after it served me a THIRTY SECOND AD in the middle of active tornado sirens going off. Imagine there had been one on the ground, those 30 seconds could have killed somebody. Disgusting practice to put wealth and ad revenue over the safety of your viewers. Shameful

Obviously the best news source in the Metro. They are the varsity news for the KC Metro. All others are the JV.
The Worst News App
Who does KMBC source their app development to? This app is still a cluttered mess. Difficult to navigate what your looking for and confusing. It’s the worst of all the local TV news stations by far. Uninstalling.
Don’t want news just weather
There’s no way to limit notifications to just weather events. I don’t want my life interrupted by what someone else thinks is newsworthy (or, more accurately, wants to hype so they make ad money). Deleted the app.

Trash App
They send you notifications of all these cool sounding news articles and then when you go in the app there is absolutely 0 way to find them and so they get your hopes up for nothing. Probably fake news.
Apple TV app
Only channel is KC without an Apple TV app.
Works better on Android
A few bugs. 1: Some notifications send me to the wrong link. For example; A got a notification about Kendrick Lamar and when I clicked on it, it brought me to an article about Beyonce not Kendrick and it does this on a lot of other articles too with the incorrect linking. 2: I turned off notifications for sports and I still get notifications about the stupid Chiefs, like I don’t give a flying rats *ss about sports. I’ve never been a fan of sports and never will. The only thing nice about KMBC 9 is on iphone it follows the device theme for main page unlike the android version, although it still shows white background on articles which I don’t like. 3: The articles also jump when scrolling on main page which is super annoying. KMBC 9 needs better iOS app developers.

Buggy App
The app is pretty lousy and buggy. Annoying pop-up every time you launch it. Also, any video will first play a commercial.
My favorite channel
I love KMBC 9 news it’s my favorite live news to watch. The app on the other hand is not my favorite. Some of the stories stay the same for weeks or as other news channels change them more frequently. There are also so many ads that I often get frustrated and close the site.
Too many Loud ads and videos pop up
If you want to quietly check news or sports , pick a different app.
This one has loud ads with no way to silence the audio . It is the same with video news stories.

Notifications
Pretty much every time I click on a notification, the app just keeps loading and never actually opens
App crashes to Home Screen
In the last month the app has begun kicking me back to the app Home Screen when I check the radar, click on an article to read, or basically anything that directs me away from the Home Screen. This is cumbersome and getting old. Please, oh please squash this bug!
What changed??
Just within the last week or so (after an update?), I’ve been getting kicked out of the articles while reading them. It takes me right back to the top story, regardless of how many times I try to go back into the story. Super frustrating.
Ads
I’m a long time viewer. So much that I’ve downloaded your app because I believe in your news. But can someone do something about the 2 or 3 ads that pop up. You are reading your article, an ad pops up and when going back to ghe article, it takes right back to the beginning. I understand you needing ads but stop taking me back to the beginning of the article. Please and thank you

Nothing but ads
I had to turn off all notifications because any notification means watching a full ad before seeing the video the notification is about. I first just stopped clicking on the notifications because I knew that meant a full ad with no skip feature would be forced on me before seeing the video. Then, I realized why am I even allowing these notifications if I’m not going to click on the bait??? So, off they went. Ads are becoming a leading cause in attention deficit disorders.

Reliable but is very glitchy
Good for storm alerts, but the app is very glitchy and hard to use at times.
