Sehr traurig.

Good progress, but still something todo…

The app is way better, than the old one. Taking pictures and videos works, the usage of the buttons is now very logic and smart. And the filter have some nice effects. And the battery usage (iPhone and housing) is very efficient.

But I still miss some features:
- use the whole display as preview
- I want to choose all my lenses explicitly. Not only 2 out of 3 (I can choose wide and ultra wide, but not the tele)
- I want the app to store the pictures / videos directly in the fotos app. (Storing them inside the app and sending them to the fotos app is not only very inconvenient but also changes the order of the pictures)
- I want the parameters of the camera when taking the picture/ videos included in the files (exif)

Than I would think the app is perfect…

Way better than the last app

It seems like they are actively trying to make this app better and better, everything is very simplistic and easy to learn while still not skimping on features. The only suggestion I have is an explanation on how to use “Deco Mode” but I give this app 5 stars since the deco mode is still in Beta testing

Major improvements

I recognize the major improvements from the previous version. Have used the housing with this new version and most of the issues from the previous versions are rectified. The toggle between camera and video very easy and fast. The image capture much more quicker. Have not encountered any ejection by the app. The enhancement and color adjustment are much more advanced. Thank you for the update, now we can recommend the product in our dive shop.

WATERMARK ON PHOTOS🤬🤬

I downloaded this version of the app and it was a vast improvement. UNTIL… I saved all my pictures to my laptop and there is now a watermark in the right corner of every photo. NOT COOL!!! I can’t find anyway to remove it or turn it off. There needs to be a way to remove and turn off that watermark!!!

Such an Improvement

I love the Kraken case. It's an amazing product but, until this version came out the app came out, the software was far and away the worst part of this experience.

This new version of the app addresses many problems that the old version had. Here's what I've seen that's good...
1) Battery usage is drastically improved, and the new standby mode (which opens after not being used for a preset amount of time) opens a compass which I didn't realize I wanted but is great to have.
2) The app is far more responsive both when using the phone directly, and when the phone is in the case.
3) Built in photo editing tools for color correction.

Now there are some shortcomings still, but these are way easier to swallow vs the old version of the app.
1) This disappeared w/in one day for me, but the compass in the standby mode screen burned-in after leaving the app in standby mode between dives. Like I said, the burn-in disappeared after 1 day, but consider auto-reducing the phone brightness in standby mode (or allowing the user to choose standby brightness in the settings page).
2) The photo viewer does not allow you to swipe between photos once you have selected a photo to view or pinch to zoom. Instead, to view a new photo, you have to exit the current photo and select a new photo. This is a bit clunky given user's existing expectations of how the photos in the iPhone work from the Photos app.
3) There isn't a way to batch export photos out of the app. To add a photo to your photos library you have to click in the photo, select share, and then click save photo. Again this is somewhat clunky. It would be great if you could select multiple photos in the Kraken gallery and then export the selected ones.

In all, this new version is an incredible improvement to the software, but there is a bit of awkwardness in actually viewing/saving the photos you've taken. Well worth the upgrade from the old app.
