Fails

Update two weeks later…STILL DOESN’T WORK!! utilizing guest refill. It will not recognize the prescription number!!!!
Constantly says I do not have the correct prescription number. 100% do have the correct prescription number and the phone number. I’ve been doing this for years. It is the app failing.

Terrible app

Cludgy, never works and constant unnecessary updates whenever you are trying to shop and have no service.

Shame on you

Clearly not using your app. When shopping from your list you have to refresh after marking each item to get it back in order. Shameful when the app is so bad that you change stores. The version prior to the AI was much better. I gave you two upgrades to correct the problem but it really is a mess.

Great Employees, But Unfair Pricing and Availability Practices

I really enjoy the Kroger employees I’ve had the pleasure of interacting with, whether through pickup or delivery. They are consistently friendly, helpful, and professional, and I appreciate the service they provide.

Unfortunately, my experience with the app itself has been much less positive. I’ve noticed that prices through the Kroger app for pickup or delivery can be significantly higher than the prices in the store, and prices through Instacart can be even higher. I’ve also noticed availability shifting between pickup and delivery in ways that can make it feel as though customers are being encouraged toward the delivery program or Instacart.

What concerns me most is the impression that purchasing patterns are being tracked and then used to influence what prices, services, or availability are presented to individual customers. Whether that is actually how the system works or not, the experience can feel very manipulative and lacking in transparency.

I believe customers deserve clear, consistent pricing and honest availability regardless of whether they shop in-store, choose pickup, or have their groceries delivered. I’m happy to support Kroger and its employees, but these practices make it difficult to feel that I’m getting a fair deal or being treated transparently as a customer.

Aisle identification

Many products are not indicated in the correct aisles . Sometimes there is an aisle number, which doesn’t even exist in the store.

Coupons

Please remove the expired and used coupons from the clipped ones. It’s obnoxious scrolling through those time and time again.

5 star reviews are insanity

This is far and away the worst grocery store app I’ve had the displeasure of using. Making this app have an ever-changing layout and giving customer no idea of where to find things on the app wasn’t enough for the development team. They’ve taken the search bar and made it entirely unusable too.

Buy the same everything every week? Try searching for it and prepare to be amazed. I figured “Hey, the kids ate all the chocolate pudding.. let me search ‘snack pack’ to get some more.” Little did I know though, I was about to be hit with 15 other things such as Sargento Mighty Bites, Oreo Mini variety packs, and smart food popcorn. Any chocolate pudding though? Nope. Weird considering the title of the item is “snack pack chocolate pudding cups”. Don’t think it ends there though. Search a brand name. Prepare to see everything but the brand.

My 5 year old would honestly have organized this better. At least she would know when I search “cucumber” to not have the number 1 hit be a green bell pepper

Update= Downgrade

When updating an app, it is not wise to downgrade functionality, accessibility. Things are harder to find. There is no way to remove a Kroger in-store location that I haven’t shopped at in two years.

Too Much Visual Clutter

What was once a useful app is now cluttered with recipes, ads, and other noise. Some of that is to be expected, but now there are too many distractions and the app is more difficult to navigate.

Cluttered

This app keeps updating and gets worse each time. Think it would be easier to just lower prices. It's like when all the big wigs come to the Newport store, hog the isles, then the store gets a bad update. So annoying. We're just trying to buy food. Why do you make it difficult

Awful apps and updates

The updates are awful. It’s so difficult to navigate. The newest up August 2026 took away the add to cart option. This is another frustrating app update. I really wish the developers would test the app.

Needs redesign

This is one of the worst apps I have ever used for a company this large. Who is designing this? It is not designed with the end user in mind (neither is the browser version). Can you take critical feedback and apply some of it?
Like why make it so difficult to switch which way you are shopping? Seems you hide the instore version and can’t get out of pickup or delivery??? Also now stuck in adding to a list rather than cart and can’t switch, can’t even delete the list. Why are some items blocked from purchasing in store (making list in cart for instore shopping) and they are visibly in front of you or vice versa for delivery and you can’t add to cart? If you have the inventory then sell it ! I could keep going bc this is really bad and doesn’t work qs you think it should. Pls fix this or get out of the biz bc we are in the age of AI and you could do better.

Rip off

I am not liking the fact that certain foods are not available or getting a coupon unless you have Kroger delivery/ pickup. Walmart doesnt even do that. Prices are out of control i live by quite a few stores and i can compare shop. The app is awful too you all moved things and you have to do all theae extra clicks just to get to it.

Disgruntled shopper!!!

I hate having to go through your poor app just to order groceries at a decent price (a few items are a decent price). I’ve been shopping more at Wallmart and Publix because I don’t have to waste time using the app. But I’m sure you hear this all the time Everyone I know has the same opinion no matter their age! My daughter rarely goes to Kroger because she always leaves mad so she’d rather spend a little more at Publix and not have to argue about coupons that didn’t work and QR codes that won’t scan because there’s no WiFi inside the stores. I think yall think customers won’t notice if they don’t get the digital price when they have a long bill. But I guarantee we do notice when we endure going to Kroger and then feel cheated when groceries are so high already!! I’ve shopped at Kroger as long as I’ve been married, 62 years. I used to only go to Kroger, but not anymore!! Yall need to get your act together so people will be happy shoppers, not disgruntled or absent!!

Should be an easier UI

I’m trying to shop specifically for frozen foods but I can’t find a section of categories like that. I searched online and it said there should be departments. I’m on the Shop section of the app. It shouldn’t be this hard. I’m a loyal Kroger shopper (because I like the gas rewards) but I’m moving soon and if there’s a Meijer or Walmart nearby I think I’ll switch my loyalty to something easier to use. This app is too clunky for this day and age.

Hate using this app!

This app needs to go back to when it was simple and straight to the point! It has turned into a science project and it’s annoying! At this point observe it he Publix app, it’s much simpler and easier to maneuver! When I click a coupon add the item to the cart! Each update makes the app busier than it already was!

Slow, clunky, bad search UI

The app is slow, takes a long time to register touches, search function requires multiple clicks to start new search. Very very frustrating.

Non functional app

What good is using app for information if products won’t load???

Bad update

App no longer works on my iPhone. Please fix it.
