Excellent, but minor drawbacks
Two drawbacks: one smaller one more serious.
Tha smaller one. Sometimes it is just unhandlich to make a photo first. A live version would be nice.
The more serious one, at least for learners: if you do want to learn a language with a different writing system than your own, it would be very nice, if you could copy the symbols and put them into your learning sheets. But coping is not working.

Thank you for the kind words and the clear feedback. Voice conversation translation is on our roadmap for the next major version, so you’ll be able to translate spoken conversations more naturally. We’ve also passed the copy issue to our engineers and they’re investigating it now—thanks for flagging it, and safe travels with Kuli Kuli.

When you set Kuli Kuli as the system translation app (which is also unlimited free), iOS requires you to switch the system translator to another app before you can uninstall Kuli Kuli. This is an Apple iOS limitation, not something we control—sorry for the inconvenience. We’ll keep improving the experience.

Hi, sorry you're hitting a full yellow screen and can't take or scan photos. Please try a full phone restart, then reopen Kuli Kuli. If it still happens, email us at contact@kulikuli.app with your device model and iOS version—we'll help right away.
