Nothing but bugs with lock and app
Firmware update. Instant Bluetooth error on all devices. Bluetooth enabled and allowed in settings, doesn’t work.
Matter just stopped working so had to put the lock in normal cloud mode to use it. All other matter devices work.
Lock has jammed twice without any tightness at all. Fortunately have a key hidden which worked easily.
On and on. Bad product. And kwikset is increasingly making bad locks. See lockpicking lawyer if you have questions. Stay away.

Highly inconsistent
I'd recommend shopping around, the brand makes you think leader in industry but their app is very buggy. Frequently logs out, can't connect or jams. If your lock isn't buttery smoothe you will either burn thru batteries or jam all together
2 stars because.. they do offer features I enjoy like proximity lock/unlock. Unlocks when I'm pulling up the drive.

Worked great for 1st year now buggy as hell

So many different issues with this lock. App freezes up at times and i always have to redo the Bluetooth.

I enjoy this Smart Lock since we have two Airbnb cottages. I like giving each guest their own door code. Easy, even miles & miles between us. Recommend.

App hasn’t worked in months. Continues to say “fail to connect”. Keeps deleting my home whenever it feels like it. Will say unlocked when it’s locked. Absolutely useless. Don’t pay for the fancy locks to use this app.

My friend added a Kwikset lock on my door so that I didn’t have to have a key and I love it. I also love that I can unlock it from the app. It’s so dependable and always works!

This lock is a nice lock but we are constantly changing out the batteries. We don’t use this door much either, so it’s a bit odd and frustrating.

Please fix app uses 80% of your battery usage even while the app is closed stays in the background draining battery your phone can be charged 100% and in 2 hours you have no charge left

Not responding to my software update… I follow the directions then it boots me and the light turns red.. super frustrating every time I try to pair I’m standing right next to it
Phone Battery Drain
Recent update is sucking the battery from my iPhone. Down 40% in an hour on iPhone 17 pro max. Please fix!!
Cool concept but a total battery drain
Using the app is pretty convenient and in concept is great especially the auto-lock/un-lock feature.
The problem is the app when using the automated features is an absolute battery drain (iPhone 17e that is only a few months old). Seeing drain of ~25% or more overnight and about ~40% daily, the app will run for hours and hours…even when home.
So while you are out and your phone dies the auto-unlock no longer matters since your dead phone won’t unlock your door.
