What's New in Kynd
1.6.0
August 24, 2026
Break it down, on your device. Long-press any task and Premium turns it into three to seven concrete steps you can actually start, sized by how hard the task feels. It runs entirely on your iPhone: no credits, no monthly caps, and nothing you write ever leaves the device. Not today. Snooze any task to tomorrow, the weekend, or next week. It disappears until then, comes back like it never left, and nothing counts how many times you needed that. Free for everyone. I made progress. Worked on something without finishing it? That counts now. A new lifetime counter tracks every time you moved something forward. Also free. Calm mode. One switch stops all animation, drops the color wash, and turns off the celebration burst, for days when the screen itself is too loud. Smarter repeats. Tasks can now repeat monthly, every other week, or quarterly, and a repeating task can hold off until a time you choose, so "school pickup" doesn't stare at you all morning. The focus shield speaks Kynd now. When you bump into a shielded app mid-session, you'll see your own task and your own reason instead of a generic block screen, with an "I need a minute" button that never scolds. Family Sharing works properly: one subscription covers up to five people in your family. No streaks. Bad days still don't erase good ones.

FAQ
What is Kynd's core philosophy for ADHD brains?
Kynd is built around the idea that the smallest physical next step is everything. It avoids common productivity app pitfalls like assuming full energy after meetings or punishing missed days, instead adapting to the user's current energy level and focusing on immediate, actionable tasks.
How does Kynd help capture thoughts without losing them?
You can tap 'Capture' and use voice or text to record your thought. Kynd then proposes a specific, two-minute physical first move you can do. You can edit this suggestion, add it to your daily tasks, or send it to your inbox for later.
What are the premium features of Kynd?
Kynd Premium offers on-device AI starter steps for tasks, unlimited captures, five ambient soundscapes, drop-in audio coworking rooms, 10 CBT-for-ADHD micro-modules, Apple Health integration for energy suggestions, calendar context, Apple Watch companion, and iCloud sync. Family Sharing for up to 5 people is also included.
How does Kynd handle focus and time management?
Kynd offers three focus modes: Sprint (2 minutes), Pomo (25 minutes), or Flow (open-ended). It uses a visual time-disk to make time less abstract and provides optional ambient soundscapes. After 90 minutes, it offers a gentle nudge to save your progress, without guilt.
Does Kynd have a streak system?
No, Kynd does not have streaks. Missed days do not reset anything. The focus is on starting again, emphasizing that the next start is what matters, which is beneficial for users who may struggle with consistency.
What is the pricing for Kynd Premium?
Kynd Premium is available as a subscription. It costs $1.99 per month or $14.99 per year. The annual plan includes a 3-month free introductory offer.
How is user data handled by Kynd?
Kynd is local-first, meaning your tasks primarily live on your device. The app states it does not run analytics, sell or share data, and never sees your captures, prioritizing user privacy.
What platforms is Kynd available on?
Kynd is available on iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch. It also supports iCloud sync for seamless data across your Apple devices.
