Awful app and device
I installed this app to use with their new presence sensor. The app has broken English, poor functionality, and either due to poor hardware or poor software continuously reflects present in varying distance distances at Baring times for no rhyme or reason. Absolutely horrible software and product.
Detects but doesn’t undetect
As another reviewer from 4 months ago, it detects people but even if you leave the room for an extended period of time it still shows detects. Defeats the purpose for me. Plus the wall mount fell down after a few minutes, not well designed.
More motion sensor than occupancy sensor. Update 12/9/25
Update: After few weeks of use I found changing the settings to hold occupancy for 10 minutes is sweet spot. I have not had a false presence detection yet.
My experience has been mixed. The major drawback is that the sensor cannot detect sustained, stationary presence; it behaves like a simple motion detector. This causes the lights to turn off while I'm sitting in the bathroom, which is frustrating. I've had to create a separate automation to prevent this. On a positive note, the customer support is fantastic, which is why I've given it 3 stars. I'm holding out for a firmware fix to make this product work as advertised.

Network issue [fixed]
Issue with app discovery, turns out to be an incorrect ipv6 configuration.
Unreliable
I have two sensors and they randomly disconnect and reset themselves to the default name and settings. I can get them briefly responsive in HomeKit but can not access them in the app to change settings. Waste of time and money.
App is basic but functional
The app works. No problem connecting to devices. I hope there will be firmware updates.
Can’t connect with sensor
Sensor pairs fine with Home app perfectly. However, I cannot pair the sensor with the Lafaer app to access additional functionality.

Awesome device
The presence sensor is working great for me so far. Detects people quick and stays active the whole time people are in the room.
Disappointed
Unfortunately, it behaves more like a motion sensor than an occupancy sensor. When I’m sitting in the bathroom, the lights turn off, and my phone shows ‘no occupancy.’ I have to wave my arms to get the lights to turn back on.
Failed out of the box
I’m sorry to say that the presence sensor is a failure. I connected it to my Apple HomeKit with no problems. It shows up in this app very easily. What makes this useless is that it ALWAYS shows a presence in the room, despite no one being there.
As an aside, I have over 40 HomeKit devices, including Hue, Aqara and of course Apple. Cameras, locks, sensors and lights. So, not a small setup.
I went through all of the different settings. I removed the device from Apple and Lanfaer 3 times. I even did a full factory reset. Absolutely nothing changed.
I’m hanging onto it in the hopes that a firmware update will fix it. At this time, I don’t recommend the occupancy sensor.
