SLUGGISH, CLUNKY, JUNK !
No longer get Device Alert notifications on either of my two cameras; CSH-2KOPT, nor CSH-2KODC.
No longer can view recorded footage. Under messages I can see: Human body detected 5:50 PM | CSH-2KOPT has detected human body (and shows a clip preview). But when I click on View it doesn’t show anything, it says: Local Storage 1.0x No events detected. However there is footage recorded inside the SD card, which is a pain having to climb to roof to retrieve the SD card and connect to computer! FIX THESE ASAP!
The feature: “Drag/Resize the red frame to set an activity area” never, ever works, unless!
P.S. that’s with both Laser SmartHome and Connect SmartHome apps - it’s a very amateurish system all round. A very expensive kid’s toy! Image quality is a laugh and software at kid’s level Takes too long to “establishing encripted channel”, before I can view anything, specially after an alert.
Sometimes 30mins goes by without recording anything. Hardly ever records the beginning of action, instead you only see the end, i.e. neighbour is leaving my driveway, I only see the end of his car leaving the frame! Twice now, there were two people, on separate occasions entering the front of my house, picking up something and the cameras never recorded! I only saw from my other side camera a tiny bit of the action on the edge of frame!!
The main camera (pan and tilt) at the front never picked it up. Other times it recorded the sound of my gate being opened, but not the person entering. Quite often the sound is delayed, out of sync of the recording. Cannot read a car’s rego 3m away, in bright sunny day. Timeline is very sluggish to scroll and at time it jumps back to 12h before what I was watching.
Very temperamental. Vídeo green/red lines on timeline are too close together and it’s very difficult to scroll through as gaps between videos are too close, so a normal scrolling jumps the length of two lines (videos) together.
The timeline should be less compact for more accuracy. Very disappointing

Wth
When I open the app to change my led lights it works for about 30 seconds before it turns my phone off to the Lock Screen idk what’s wrong
super glitchy!
it sometimes works bit frustrating, would be an excellent app if it would work consistently, it took a few tries to connect, eventually once it was connected it would glitch and not change colour and dimness as quickly, sometimes the off button doesn’t work and i have to try over 10 times before it seems to work!

It works (sometimes)
I mainly use this app for my bedrooms light, I prefer a dark room but not fully lights out at night, it works for that (unless the app glitches out and doesn’t let me change it).
Though a few problems I’ve faced are that I tried connecting LED lights that say on the box they use this app, didn’t let me connect them. My other problem is just some simple app settings they should add, like a dark mode and probably just more settings in general.

THE WORST PRODUCT !
I have two different cameras, they’re like expensive kids toys.
Both ConnectSmart and LaserSmart are absolutely TERRIBLE apps.
Too slow.
Cannot even see the footage I got alerts for !
Low quality image. Cannot see it car rego 5m away.

Excellent product.
This is an excellent product. I had previous smart Home devices and I bought the laser devices to replace them. The app works well. The devices are flawless and easy to connect and I highly recommend laser products
HACKED HOME SECURITY CAMERA & APP
Can you PLEASE roll out an urgent UPDATE to patch the SECURITY of this App and User Settings so my Home Security Camera can stop being hacked and Notification Photos and live Video’s are not ‘modified’ by whoever is hacking my Camera & App!!
I have people breaking into my Apartment every time I’m not home & now editing all my photos & videos to hide the proof!
I thought this Camera & App would help me, but it’s clearly not, with lack of technical security!

Appalling data privacy and software installation bugs.
According to Apple AppStore this application may gather users location, MAC address, IP address etc.
Ask yourself dear reader why a simple smart home control program would need these metrics to be sent to a foreign server on the internet ? The install process even makes the claim that “Your privacy is very important”, and then presents the User agreements for Privacy and so forth.
Except the App doesn’t appear to show up in iOS Settings if consent is not granted for the User Agreements.
So therefore you cannot stop the application calling home in the first instance.
All this to control a simple dimmable LED bulb over WiFi or Bluetooth is completely nuts.
As I do not consent to their Data Gathering I will have to return the product which requires this for a refund. How utterly disappointing.

I’m not sure what witchcraft people use to connect devices to this app, but I’ve never succeeded. I’ve tried a couple of different products now and none of them connect to the app. At the moment I have two expensive lightbulbs. It can take 15 minutes of playing around to get the app to find and to connect to your network, then, if you’re really lucky, it will go through the motions to connect to a device, but then just repeatedly timeout every time. Every. Time. Even if it tells you it’s connecting and goes through the process and looks like it’s doing something, it will still time out.

Auto or scenario not working for rgb light
There is a bug in the app where you can not set a color mode when doing automation or scenario on an rgb light bulb. The setting shows temperature for white instead of an rgb. App needs updating to fix this.
The app is clunky, camera is poorly designed.
The first time you register an account you’ll need to put in the code to verify your email address which you can’t copy paste in any way so once you type the code in it’ll take you to the app. Then the whole app is broken, you can’t add any devices or anything so you have to swipe up to fully close the app, then you need to log in all over again, like it completely forgot who i was in the last 4 seconds, after doing all that you can start adding devices. Which adding any device takes ages, and has very little instructions to follow.
The most basic of app developers got paid so little to make this app you can’t even copy paste text. And if you use the provided bracket for the smart camera, to mount it to the roof you can’t just flip the camera view no you’ll spend 45 minutes looking for it in the settings just to find another list of settings called basic settings which has only 3 things in it which on can finally flip the camera view, also good luck hiding the cable it just hangs there in plain view for any robber to just yank it out as they please. These cameras are fine for maybe a baby monitor but I definitely wouldn’t use them for anything important.

The pairing is a joke.
“Easy setup” - not if you don’t have wifi
I bought the Smart White LED Bulb, which has a QR code for this app. The outside of the packaging promises an “EASY SETUP”, but the requirement of having a wifi network is not mentioned anywhere. Bluetooth alone is not enough. I’m using mobile data, not wifi, so all I’ve done is buy an expensive cold white lightbulb. State your requirements on the outside of your packaging!

Biggest time waster and waste of money
Bought a globe of Amazon. It doesn’t pair with any phone though we tried endless times to do so. Avoid at all costs. There are better lighting systems on the market. Matt (Australia).
SO GLITCHY - not worth it
The auto setup doesn't work. I've tried setting up my blub using all three options, the schedule, rhythm and plan, and every one glitches. The rhythm automatically turns the toggle off, the plan and schedule don't turn on when they're meant to, or it'll only turn on for the morning and not the evening or vice versa.
Also the bulb will sporadically drop it's connection to both this app and the Google home app.
Wouldn't buy again unless they take care to fix these infuriating issues which keep the product from doing as advertised.

Works Great!
We use this camera to check our automatic feeder in the guinea pig cage pops up! It’s clear, can see 180 degrees and has sound and movement sensor. Can also speak through it! Was not expensive from BigW - happy
