Best Language App
LingQ is the best and unique language learning app ever.
Great app. Few bugs, and could be improved but really great and useful way to get learning
There are a few bugs that still need to be fixed particularly when the subtitles are not aligned with the audio however the app is fantastic and I’ve been using it to learn my target language Russian. Would recommend.

Accessible & What I Needed
I have been using this app for about a year now since completing the Russian Duolingo course. I was looking for more immersive exercises since Duolingo can only take you up to about 2,000 words. Reading Russian literature books can be an alternative but having to go back & forth on words you can’t understand leads to spending time on translation which breaks the pacing of reading a single sentence. This app manages to simplify this very well by keeping track of what words you’re familiar with & what words you might need some practice on. My only problem is when I stumble upon a new word but the word isn’t auto-translated for you, it breaks the pacing but at least to a far lesser extent than if I was reading a physical book. I also enjoy the wide array of selection for what you can read, I’m hoping we get full novels on this app someday soon. Coming off a year of Ling my word count is somewhere up to 3,224 (according to the app) so my progress has been slowed down but my reading comprehension has improved significantly.

Birçok popüler görünen programdan çok daha iyi bir program …çoğu program sadece başlangıç düzeyinde kalıyor bitirseniz bile..bir dili gerçekten seviye seviye öğrenmek istiyorsanız süper gerçekten … başlangıç düzeyinden ileri düzeye kadar yüzlerce parça var.. bu parçalarda her parçanın her cümlesini tek tek çalışabiliyorsunuz her kelimenin üzerine tıkladığımızda türkçesini görebiliyorsunuz.. hatta ben önce parçaları cümle cümle anladıktan tam olarak anladıktan sonra bilmediğimiz kelimeleri tıkladığınız için kelimeler parça sonunda bilmediğimiz kelimeler olarak gösteriliyor onları çalışmaya başlıyorum kelimeleri de çalıştıktan sonra parçayı komple 5:10 kere dinliyorum mükemmel oluyor çok tavsiye

A favorite of mine
I use several language apps. LingQ is the one that helps the most in improving fluency. It took me some time to adjust to the method but it was well worth it.

Keeps locking me out
I am revising my review after the app’s support desk was very helpful over a weekend (they state they will usually respond during office hours) and helped to finally fix the problem that I was having with this app. I had been unable to use it and found it frustrating because I was really keen to advance my knowledge of Russian , already at Intermediate-and above level. There is very interesting and good media on the app, of all and various types, with the ability to translate unknown words, then test your recall of them. Additionally, a wide selection of dictionary sources are available if you do not care for the available translation provided and you can make notes on unusual or idiosyncratic Russian words . I had a problem with the app not registering my ‘upgrade’ for the first 11 days, but eventually, after emails to the support desk, found that this seemed to have been caused by having two accounts- one for French and the other for a Russian. Deleting the French one solved the problem. Thank you LinQ for your help.

The best way to learn a language
LingQ is in my opinion by far the best way to learn a language. The current version of the app is fantastic, and much more pleasing to the eye and easier to use than the classic version. I hope that LinQ do not try to fix what is not broken and I hope they keep the current version for years to come as I am really enjoying using it exactly how it is and it would be a real shame if they changed anything. Would be nice for some more additional official courses in Russian though :) thank you for making this app and service available for all of us to learn languages with!

Hopefully Steve Kaufman sincerely meant Stephen Krashen was correct.
If so, we can expect Lingq to move from, ‘if you work harder you will learn,’ to ‘simple stories using common vocabulary is best for our learners.’
