iPhone Location “Always” needed

Pretty disappointed that my iPhone does not stay connected to my Geovid Pro binoculars. Sounds like this is due to an issue with Apple not allowing the location services to be set to “Always” vs “While Using the App”. Can this somehow be fixed so I can connect my Geovid Pro Binoculars to my phone and keep the BT connection??

Good app, user friendly

Good app, ballistics are really close, but easy to refine.

I wish there was an option to adjust how long the reticle stays on one brought up. I don’t feel like 30 seconds is needed, give me 3-5, or an option to adjust

Not user friendly

Decided to give the Leica a go after reading all the reviews and watching a couple videos. I think the range finder is good, however the Sig BDX system is A LOT more user friendly.

Nur mit Fernglas

Schade das ich die App nur mit Fernglas nutzen kann. Hätte mir als Besitzer eines Leica ZF gewünscht auch manuell die Entfernung eingeben zu können. Aber mein Magnus ZF ist sowieso nicht in der Datenbank.

Good rangefinder terrible interface

Love the range finder but why not do all the setting and profile changes on your phone and send them to the rangefinder instead of one eye changes with two basic buttons?

Leica 10x32 Geovid Pro Rangefinder Binoculars

I give it a five star rating, very very powerful and once you find the YouTube tutorials, it’s very easy to set up and use. The operations manual is not very user-friendly, but the YouTube videos make it super simple. Absolutely love it!

CRF-2800COM

Ich besitze den kompakten Rangefinder 2800COM von Leica. Jedoch hat Leica offensichtlich zwei Kundenkategorien. Anders kann man es sich nicht erklären, dass die Ballistischen Berechnungen bei diesen Modellen nur bis 800m möglich sind. Bei den
-Pro- Modellen gehen diese jedoch bis zur Messreichweite. Es ist, aufgrund des auch im 2800er verbauten Chips möglich, auch hier die Programme auszuweiten. Warum eine Marke wie Leica solche „Spielereien“ mit den Kunden nötig hat und nicht die volle Leistungsfähigkeit „freischaltet“, bleibt deren Geschäftsgeheimnis.

Leider sind die .COM Modelle hinsichtlich ballistischer Ausgabewerte limitiert und es ist technisch nicht möglich diese zu erweitern. Schauen Sie sich unsere neuen PRO Modelle an, in diesen könnten Sie sich Ausgabewerte bis zur maximalen Entfernung ausgeben lassen. Ihre Meinung ist uns wichtig und wir hoffen, dass Sie weiterhin unsere Produkte nutzen und unterstützen werden. Vielen Dank für Ihr Verständnis.

Improvements needed

At a minimum, the user should be able to enter zeroed values of other than 100, 200, or 300 yds. Additionally, the maximum range setting should be user inputted rather than a fixed 500 or 850 yds.

Thank you for your feedback. It seems that you paired with a .COM device or want to create a profile for a .COM device. Within these devices the zeroed values are limited to the given distances. If you pair with a PRO device or set a profile for a PRO device the zeroed values are variable. Your Leica Ballistics Support Team.

Sehr zufrieden bis auf ….

Als erstes finde ich es super, dass die App auch ohne Internetverbindung funktioniert und per Bluetooth die Daten auf den Range Master 2800.com übertragen werden. Weniger gut finde ich die hinterlegte Munitionsdatenbanken, da z.B. nicht alle RWS Geschosse korrekt aufgeführt sind. RWS Evo green in .308 Short Rifle in 9g fehlt.

Troubles

In my experience the app constantly changes profile and puts in its own data. Have to check and correct profile every time I use it. Also, and this is nothing really to do with the app itself, but the 32 Pro binoculars report nonsense corrections often. Like no elevation correction essentially at 600 yards with a 100 yard zero.

Will not connect to rangemaster 3200. Would much rather use this app than the horrible Leica hunting app.

Schlechtes Update

Nach dem Update sind alle V0-Werte in den Profilen gelöscht, genauso wie die Profilnamen.
In den Geschossdatenbanken gibt es auch keine V0-Werte mehr und manche Einträge lassen sich nicht in ein Profil übernehmen….

As others have said, please update or upgrade the 3200.com. It’s such an awesome piece of gear, but is limited by a bad app and the handicapped on1board ballistics solver. Should at least give corrections to 2k
