Sound bar won’t connect to wifi or it drops connection. changes to the speaker balance does not register. The voice volume is too low, sound effects too high. and whenever i try to change it the changes don’t save. I knew i should’ve went with sonos. i am going to return this thing. the damn tv volume sounds better alone

The manual with the LG speaker literally says to get this app, with a QR code link, but then the app says the speaker isn’t compatible with the app. Honestly its hilarious how ridiculous that is.
That’s on top of the fact that LG doesn’t seem to realize that not all of their speakers have a bluetooth button, and that some of them just have an “F” (function) button to scroll through the input types.
They don’t even know their own products lol.

Worst app and sound bar I have ever had, went back to shop under warranty. They found nothing wrong with it. I get it back. The sound drops out. It loses the sub got a flick through all the options to optic and then I get it back then it goes then it comes back then it goes I’m over it.

Can’t connect to soundbar. Useless
Used to work for me. More no longer connects to my soundbar. I’ve tried everything including multiple resets and unplugging. App finds my soundbar but can’t complete the connection process. More LG Garbage apps. Similar problems with my LG laundry machine app.
Won’t Even Connect to My Soundbar
My sound bar was already connected to my WiFi, everything was on and it was paired with my phone. But it would not find the sound bar and couldn’t connect. If it’s an LG Soundbar app why can’t it find its own device? Disappointed.
Clunky but it works I guess…
This app would be nothing short of perfect if it weren’t for all the bugs and problems this app has. I would’ve never expected an app to behave like this after I dropped $1,000 on a soundbar setup. This app is downright embarrassing the way I never know whether or not it’ll actually work with me that day and it’s so annoying and frustrating.

Why does this app exist? ThinQ?
This app feels unnecessary given that the LG ThinQ app already supports LG products. It would make more sense to integrate LG soundbars into ThinQ to create a simpler, more unified experience across all LG devices.

Consistent connection issues
I have a LG Soundbar that I can find and connect to via the LG Soundbar app. It will not allow me to complete the set up unless I register with Google Home, which I do and the device is present.. still no connection accepted.
If I fully reset the sound bar (now I must reset my EQ/tv settings) it MIGHT work. Even then it periodical disconnects and the whole process resets.
I absolutely hate the Google home integration. Everything registers except for this hand off that is required to use the app. Just terrible.

Does not work with LG SN6Y Soundbar
This app asks way too many questions about location and such when it’s only purpose is to connect with and control my LG soundbar. It cannot find my soundbar. After noodling with it I finally get to a message stating that my soundbar is not supported. It’s kind of useless to put it nicely. I thought the App Store could do better than this. I have no problems at all with the Android version.
