Liberation Philology French User Reviews

Helpful, but needs sound

This app is helpful for when you have only a little time. It would be much better though if it had a sound for correct answer & another sound to indicate error. Simple/short sounds that are easy to distinguish between would be great. Thank you

Not worth your time or money

I tried out Liberation Philology after coming out of an excellent few months using Luli Languages' excellent Japanese flashcard programs. I am a big fan of flashcards and bought the "Academic Languages" pack (French, Spanish, German and Latin) hoping that they would provide a similar experience. Not so.

LP is a very, very simple program that doesn't include anything you would otherwise expect from language learning software. There is no audio, no spaced repetition, and no lesson or review structure — just sets of cards staggered into "levels" that you are expected to hammer away at for however long you please.

Honestly, just use Anki. Everyone else uses it for a reason.

Good buy

Very nice app. My only qualm is that in vocabulary there is no way of knowing the gender of a word unless you’re going French into English. I would suggest including a f/m marker or a definite article in front of the four choices when you are doing English into French vocabulary questions.

Awesome app!!!!!!!

Works perfectly!!!!!! Love it!!!
