About

Libreto is a full drawing studio, digital notebook, planner, and PDF editor for iPad, and a streamlined PDF editor and notes app for iPhone. Private by design, and one fair price. DRAW & SKETCH (iPad) A full drawing canvas with pressure brushes, layers, blend modes, and a saved color palette. Draw with real symmetry: vertical, horizontal, both axes, or radial. Smudge actual pixels at full resolution. Pro adjustments and filters: hue, curves, gradient map, blurs, halftone, chromatic aberration, and more. Selection and lasso, cut/copy/paste, add text, import photos, flip the canvas, and export as PNG or PDF. Apple Pencil Pro: squeeze to open your brushes, double-tap to swap brush and eraser. NOTEBOOKS FOR APPLE PENCIL (iPad) Handwrite on a curated set of paper styles: lined, dot grid, grid, graph, Cornell, and to-do, or import any photo as your own paper. Choose your page size and orientation. Search your handwriting and convert it to text on-device, in English and Spanish. Add stickers, washi tape, photos, and AI art with Image Playground. On iPhone, take plain handwritten or finger-written notes, iPhone does not support Apple Pencil. PLANNERS, YOUR WAY (iPad) Six planners, each with its own clean, roomy layout: - Daily, Weekly, Monthly, Scheduling, Personal, and Pro - Real calendar dates, with tappable months: touch any day to jump to its page - Every planner opens with a tappable table of contents - Grow any planner with extra pages: habits, goals, schedules, dashboards, and journals - Portrait or landscape, Warm or Dark theme, charcoal and gold, or cream and espresso DESIGN YOUR COVER (iPad) Choose from elegant cover designs, Leather, Minimal, Botanical, Midnight, Floral, Marble, Geometric, and a live animated Aurora. Recolor any cover, import your own photo, or generate cover art with Image Playground. PDF TOOLS (iPad and iPhone) Import, read, and mark up PDFs with highlights and ink, right alongside your notes and planners. PRIVATE BY DESIGN No ads. No tracking. No third-party AI. Your work stays on your devices, with optional private iCloud sync to keep everything together. MEMBERSHIP Unlock premium planners and designs for $7.99/year with a 3-day free trial, or $0.99/month. What's New in Libreto

2.2.1

August 1, 2026

Libreto 2.2.1 is a stability release. Everything below came out of a full pass over the app, top to bottom. NEW • More from the studio. A new section in Settings with the other apps I build. Nothing is downloaded, and tapping a row just opens the App Store. FASTER • PDFs open without the app freezing, especially long documents and scans. • Handwriting search no longer locks up the screen while it reads your pages. • Exporting a long notebook to PDF uses far less memory, so big planners finish reliably. • Sketch layers and page thumbnails use less memory while you work. FIXED • Pages and sketch layers could quietly reorder themselves after syncing across devices. Order is now stable everywhere. • Move Up and Move Down in the page browser sometimes did nothing, or moved the wrong page. • Inserting a page could drop it in the wrong place, or on top of another page. • Page thumbnails showed as solid black for light notebooks. • PDF page thumbnails could show a page from a document you had already closed. • Year at a Glance now lines its mini calendars up to real weekdays and handles leap years. • The iCloud Sync switch in Settings had no effect. It now genuinely turns syncing on and off, taking effect the next time you open Libreto. • Compressing a PDF could silently drop a page it could not process. • Importing a file that is not a readable PDF now tells you, instead of adding a document that never opens. • Sample content cleanup no longer removes a notebook you created or renamed yourself. • Signatures, stickers, and image stamps no longer risk a crash while a PDF is drawn or saved. • Scanning could fail if a page image did not convert. • Backups and exports handle unusual document names instead of skipping the file. • Photos added to a whiteboard are resized before saving, so boards sync faster and take up far less space. • Restored purchases are checked more carefully, so an expired or refunded subscription no longer unlocks Premium. Thanks for using Libreto. If you hit anything odd, Settings has a Contact Support link and I read every message.
