Love Librista!

The e app is so easy to use. I love that it keeps record of all the books I have read.

Great library app!

Love using this app to reserve, renew, and check on books my library has.

Great App Until New Update

New update has completely bricked the app. The search function no longer works; the screen freezes instantly

My local library uses this but the reason I gave it 4 stars is because I have to go into the library to get the books and stuff so yeah an btw it takes long for the books to show but that could be my WiFi

A new issue has cropped up

I updated the app and while the look has improved, the functionality has rendered it almost useless. Every time I try to click on book details, I get stuck in an endless loading loop. Right now all I seem to be able to do is search for items and see if they’re available or not. I can reserve an item, but canceling them requires going to the dashboard and canceling them all. I don’t have items checked out right now so have no idea how renewing them might go. Update: The above issues did get better, although now I have no idea if they were all resolved or I just learned to deal with them. I have cards for two local libraries. Somehow I got logged out of Librista while accessing my secondary library and when I tried switching libraries, I was unable to do so as the app started trying to use location services to bring up the list of local libraries (another change I dislike-I only need the two I have credentials for.) I also was unsure what my login was—was it a separate login, or did I use my library credentials? I foolishly deleted the app and reinstalled it, and now I can’t log in at all, as it is perpetually stuck on the location screen. Edit again: I managed to get logged in, but have to log in every time I open the app—I much preferred it when I stayed logged in to the two libraries that I have cards for. I haven’t activated the location services for fear that they haven’t improved, so I have to search every time I use the app. Edit October 2024-I was logged into one library and wanted to switch libraries; once again, I got stuck in an endless location search. A hard close and reopen didn’t resolve it. Right now I’m to the point of uninstalling, and possibly not reinstalling as my local library wil be moving away from Atriuum, as have most libraries in the county.

Just added only goes through the first few letters of the alphabet. Otherwise, good app.

My favorite place to be

I love the library. It’s my home away from home. The staff is very friendly. If they don’t have a book I’m looking for, they find it from a different library. So, they’re definitely resourceful.

Multiple cards?

I would like this 100% if I could switch between cards(I have two in my household) to be able to view books borrowed, to be able to reserve, and to view items due on EACH card.

Helpful tool

Librista is such a helpful tool for patrons, to see what the library has available, and even reserving items, before getting to the library. It is wonderful for librarians who are shopping for new books, to compare to the library’s collection.

Can’t Log In

Passwords are supposed to be the last 4 of your library card number, it’s not. The librarians don’t even know how to edit your password to grant you access. There’s an alternate login using google that doesn’t load. So no way to login to actually use the app for personal reserves or anything.

Was excited to use it, but physically can’t.

App never loads anything

I downloaded this app while trying to get back into reading. I can select my library but then it just doesn’t do anything. It loads the home page infinitely, and never loads anything if I try to search. There also doesn’t appear to be anywhere to actually create an account. What is the point of this app?

Librista is tied to your library's database - if you already have a library account, use the same credentials to log on; otherwise, contact your library to create an account. History has disappeared

I like to keep track of the books I’ve checked out and read. It was always easy to see that info on this app. A few months ago all of my history from 2022 and 2023 disappeared. Only a couple of months from 2021 are showing up. Now it isn’t even keeping track of the books I’ve checked out for 2024. I’ve asked someone at my library to check on this, but they can’t figure it out either.

Used to work great

I have used this app from my library for many years. All of a sudden it is not showing my history except for the year 2030. Don’t bother calling the support number because it isn’t for normal people. You have to ask your library for them to put in a trouble ticket. Good luck with that. Most of the people who work at my library did not even know that had it. So at this point I’m removing the app. Then will try to redownload it. Since there is no update option.
While using the app no way to see the version number. Grrr

I wish we could use a website instead

This app is awful. Slowest app I have ever used. Takes my job as a teacher trying to find resources to use VERY hard.

Generally works fine

When it works it works fine. Was having an issue where it would tell me I had nothing checked out when I actually had a variety of different media checked out with different due dates. Now it appears to be working again. It works off and on. When it is working it is very helpful

Used to work, now not so much

Before I used to be able to see what I have out etc, now it tells me i have nothing out, which I do. I had something reserved and it said i didnt. Wont show me my history. It did however let me reserve a book, so there is that.

Endlessly loads but doesn’t load.

App is stuck on my account page. Won’t load dashboard. Endless loop instead. Emailed support. I can’t turn in a support ticket because I’m a patron. Had to go to my library and have them do it. They said several people have the same problem. Used to work great.
