Excellent App for casual and serious players
I am a casual chess player, so my review is from a beginner / casual player point of view, instead of folk to play it for a living.
Lichess is incredible from my point of view it provides:-
1. Analysis boards to check your moves, or just improve your tactics.
2. Free analysis of games and ability to learn from your mistakes.
3. Want to play without caring about ratings or points, sure just play with “casual” settings.
4. Customise your board, switch on / off highlighting squares a piece can move to, customise pieces etc.
5. Use as a clock to play on a physical board
6. Personalised training based on your strengths and weaknesses.
7. Unlimited puzzles.
And so on, all provided for free and without continuous bombardment with messages to upgrade to premium and blocking any features behind a paywall.

Scam
Want to play chess? Play in person.
Old app was so much better
Pretty disappointed with the new app, also cant loginto an old account
Bad UI
it’s very confusing to read after a game is over that who won. why not just tell by profile name or You won/you lost with a simple animation
PLEASE ADD A PGN TRAINER.
please..
Perfeito e gratuito
Nenhum app de xadrez chega perto do Lichess. Gratuito, profissional.
It’s great
As a beginner I find this app extremely useful. I use both this and chess.com. I like this is free not just a bit of free content and then you have to pay. It’s got great resources for learning. Keep up the great work I would greatly recommend this app.
Great UI- sleek and simple, ad free!
Excellent app- i strongly resonate with the open source free to use ad free equivalent since the Chess mafia decided to put ads on after a recent population surge!. The developers and people involved in the app deserve every donation / patronage for keeping it about the chess no nonsense premiums
Great update
The new customization options are great. Highly recommend donating to this non profit if you can spare a few bucks. The game analysis is literally what you get with other paid chess apps.
Underrated app
Best chess app ever
Do not replace the old version
Not as good as the original app (white icon). Look like the web site. I don’t need this app, safari is sufficient
Misclicks galore
Never had so many issues with misclicks on a chess app! I even tried a stylus
absolutely amazing FREE app
I’m so sad that I didn’t find you until now. Undoubtably the best chess app out there. Chess.com feels like Duolingo for chess, all fluff and not really learning anything unless you pay. Lichess is amazing. I’m learning so much and I haven’t paid anything yet, I’m honestly looking around the app for a way to donate money and haven’t found one yet. I appreciate you so much!

Great
Its great because its free chess.com is trash compared to this but i still like chess.com anyways i haven't been experiencing hacks and stuff like that soooo
Excellent
