Best app on the App Store
This chess app is what the world used to be like. Wonderful, ad-free, and it isn’t designed to steal all your information or take your money. I’m so happy that there are people who just want to give the world a way to play a great game for free. Thank you for doing a tremendous good in the world. I am deeply grateful to the beautiful people who made this app AND continue to improve it. I have so little money and this app makes chess accessible to me and countless others. Puzzles
Bring back the ability to retry puzzles so we can play the same puzzle multiple times and learn the sequence
Basic functionality unstable
I appreciate this alternative to the competitors but I’m experiencing bugs as significant as the app crashing completely during timed games, which obviously means the app is unusable. If the app isn’t ready, I’d rather it not be released, than have it released unusable!

Unlimited analytics, streaming games from top masters, and other tools for improvement makes this app unbeatable.
Update App Is Horrible
I don’t know why they made this new app and are forcing us to use it. It’s is horrible. The pieces look stupid and the play is garbage.

Great platform but cheating is everywhere
You are more likely to be playing someone who is cheating than not. Game reviews….they typically are 97% accurate with 0 mistakes, and these are bullet games. Once you get to the 2000 range it’s at minimum 1 out of every 3 games. There isn’t a good way to report. You have to copy and paste a URL. I don’t think it works. I’ve reported 100’s and haven’t seen an account be banned. Chess.com is equally as bad, only difference is their reporting is easier and occasionally you’ll see an account suspended. It’s unfortunate cheating has ruined these apps.

New layout very aggressive
I miss the old layout/web layout. Not entirely sure what promoted this radical change. It feels like it comes from a good place of minimizing friction but I still find myself going for the web version

Great app for playing
Love this app. I play here more than duo lingo and chess.com. I love the grassroots chess, open source, and ease of access. It’s not a lessons app, that’s what the other two are.
Tout le monde devrait utiliser Lichess

Found Lichess this year it’s amazing wish had occasional donations
Very disappointing new UI
I don't get it why applications need to gamify. Lichess was a proud competitor to Chess.com, worked well and fast and looked professional. Now it looks like a cheap version of that Chess.com platform. Really disappointing.
